I don't get what you're saying though.

So Basel, Rubin Kazan, Newcastle and the likes have better depth? It's not like Fiorentina competes for the league when they don't take Europe seriously.
German and English teams have better depth than Italian teams.
I get why teams like Lazio don't field their best players in EL.

Edit: My opinion of course.

That's the main problem, especially when subs are more often than not inferior to the starters.
Our bench was highly praised at the beginning of the season and depth was said to be our biggest asset. You go look at those claims in the Marotta thread, some people still believe that the great man did wonders. While I agree that we had a decent enough bench, it is obvious that they will underperform when they get so little to no playing time at all. While Marotta did not provide the best depth we could have Conte have made sure that the bench material becomes dead wood, mind the pun there.

It's better than last season and that should be enough.

I don't really understand how is it possible to have a stronger squad than 2 years ago and yet play much more defensive football. I remember in 2011/12 we were keeping the pressure on most opponents for 90% of the game, now it's the opposite. Maybe it's because we only had Serie A that season, dunno.
how about this:

Juventus has not lost a game in 17 matches. in this season, it has a 12 match winning streak.

Juventus have also scored a goal in every single league match this season.

Juventus have only dropped points at home against gala and madrid. They have won every other home match.

Juventus has scored the most goals in serie a with 60. teams with wingers and amazing positive attackiong football roma and napoli have only managed 49 each.

The truth is people have become so spoiled by the standards conte has set, they fail to realize how good this team is actually.

also i remember plenty of boring and frustratig matches under conte in his first season.

remember those draw after draw results? remember how juventus were winter champions, then slipped up because of those stupid draws and almost gave the title away to Milan during the jan-march period?

yeah.. let's not convenently remember those moments.

It's rather insulting to say a club of Juventus stature does not have the depth to compete in Serie A and Europe especially when we are already out of Coppa.

I think its lack of courage from Conte if he decides not to take EL seriously after saying how much he wants to win it because of the CL disappointment.
If we play second stringers, and we win its good news. If we lose , its because we play second fiddles.
Its a ready made excuse to hide his incapability in Cup games.

“Torino play an atypical 3-5-2, as it’s more of a 3-5-1-1 with one striker much wider than the other. Cerci as a forward is changing his characteristics, but then he cuts inside and can become devastating. I think we did a great job tactically to limit them.”

“What we did tonight was not improvised, that’s for sure. We evaluated the situation. We needed the ball to reach the strikers, not for the strikers to come back to get the ball, as that left us enough room to get back and block off any counter-attacks or at least give them a lot more work to do.”

“I know I might not be likeable to many, but I am very concentrated, focused and ferocious in my work. I think you have to be like that to achieve success.”
