I can understand not saving the PK but he just seemed slow off the line (no spring in his jump to the side is what I mean, as in he didn't seem sharp)
That 'slowness' was down, I believe, to Buffon guessing Rossi was going to put the penalty in the middle of the goal, so Buffon only moved after it was apparent it was going to the corner.

He didn't guess and make an early move to a side the way that a keeper normally does on a penalty.

But if he reaches for the far side of the goal he has a better chance of his body at least getting in the way if Rossi decides to go to the middle-side of the goal instead of to the side netting.

That doesn't make sense. Why just jump partially and leave a whole gap open?

imo he is the best keeper of all times, but hes a lousy penalty blocker
He's never been great at it, but it's a 'weakness' that has tended to be greatly exaggerated of the years due to the lack of other weaknesses in his game to pick up on.

Jesus , even if it is the players that screw us up since the start of the season by being sloppy and far away from concentrated , they ain't gonna wake up on their own. It's the manager's job to help them do that, it is HIS FUCKING JOB people, don't block any form of criticism. This is what we expect from a coach.
The Milan match probably being the worst, the team has generally played the majority of each match the way they would have last season. Only :cronios: is wise enough to predict the fall apart yesterday, difficult to get into the players heads during the game when everything had been looking fine up till Rossi started scoring.

Rewatched the game and although I do blame buffon partially for the rossi goal, not only did the defence give too much space to rossi but our midfield is closing anyone down anymore. Also our defence looks like something from a epl team. Our defenders are being dragged together and leave gaps open on the field. Antonio Conte doesnt deserve to be sacked but does deserve the criticism
Why on earth would you do that?

I think there might be a direct correlation between Nargi's departure and our current form. Quag is selfish, he don't like to share. But Matri on the hand. :klin:
By far the best theory about our recent slump I'ver heard so far

Anyway, Conte better be screaming his ass off right now to get the guys fired up for wednesday.

Conte should take note from Yul Brenner and apply it to his players

He should but his heart is not into it. He doesn't look like the Conte of the last 2 years, especially the 1st one. Maybe he's pissed at the board for not getting the players he wanted or sold the ones he wanted to keep...:boh:

He got two very capable strikers and yet we look like complete shit. Not fully blaming him but his tactics have let us down

Why on earth would you do that?
Why did I watch the game in the first place given I knew we were going to lose?

Conte seriously has to ditch his style of play and bring something new to Juve or else we will continue to look predictable and not get results

yet he used many formations in the past. Now he's stuck with one. I don't get it. The Pepe excuse is BS. He could use 3 of out forwards at the same time but doesn't. If he scared of defensive coverage then don't use Pirlo in some games but he doesn't.
