Conte saw tired Juventus
By Football Italia staff

Antonio Conte has underlined that the real Juventus didn’t show up at Tuesday’s Trofeo TIM triangular tournament.

The Old Lady drew their two 45-minute encounters 0-0 with Milan and Sassuolo, before losing the first and winning the second on penalties.

“We didn’t concede, but we weren’t able to show much of what we’re capable of producing,” the tactician stated after Sassuolo lifted the trophy.

“It’s understandable, the lads have worked hard and had tired legs. In fact, I’d like to congratulate them for their commitment on pre-season.

“The important thing is that we’ve finished the pre-season training camp and now this evening’s encounters without picking up any injuries.”

Juventus’ lack of attacking ideas and heavy legs did hinder the effectiveness of new boys Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente who faced the Diavolo.

“I’ve got a good set of strikers to choose from,” Conte added. “And I will make decisions according to their performance in training during the week.

“Will Fabio Quagliarella be sold? You’ll have to ask director general Beppe Marotta. I look to give everyone a game, but someone has got to be left out. Today that was Quagliarella.”

The Bianconeri are looking to sell one of their six forwards given that Alessandro Matri, Mirko Vucinic and Sebastian Giovinco are also at the club.

That full interview actually had the journalist pointing out that Quag had the least game time, does that mean he will be sold? So Conte replied saying that mercato questions should be aimed at Marrotta. He also said that he looks to give game time to all his strikers, since he can't have 12 players on the field. Today, it just so happened to be Quag.

That's basically the same thing.

Same message, I dont see how it can be better. Its not like the your one said Quag is staying it stated the same thing
I think it's what we all know. One of Quag and Matri is bound to be leaving, maybe both if Marrotta has some massive coup in mind, ala Sanchez. But can't see so much talent on the bench, so it will be one of Quag/Matri, as per whoever generates a higher bid I'm guessing, or whoever is easier to sell. I think both are valued in the 12m category. This is what I think their status on the team is. We forget that Gio was not here last night, because if he were, Matri would've also been on the bench, suggesting what we already know. Those two are the lowest down the pecking order.

We should look at the team, and not the finances at this point.

Matri is the only CF we got on the bench. Quag is in the list of many SS.

Therefore Matri should stay. for the sake of playstyle.

the tiny bit in extra cash made of matri isnt important enough

I have a sneaking suspicion that the Ogbonna vs Bonucci situation is gonna make us witness Conte's subjectivity for the first time since he became our coach. Ogby is gonna have a hard time because of it.

I don't know about that but we will certanly have another Vidal vs Marchisio or Quag vs Matri type saga on 'tuz.

Might aswell start choosing sides. :D

GdM: Quag has had more offers than Matri.

Yea, DP84, looks more likely that he will be sold.
i'm sorry man, but we only got 2 cf's with llorente and matri, where as we got a metric crapload of supporting strikers with tevez, vucinic, quag and giovinco. thats at least 1 to many, and its time we let quag go, he would barely play anyway.

In an ideal world, we sold quag and giovinco, and got sanchez on a loan with option to buy

llorente, matri ; tevez, sanchez, vucinic

perfect

i dont get it

vidal and marchisio are entirely diffrent players
