Chirico said today that there is a rift between Marotta and Conte regarding our transfers. Conte thinks that the way Marotta is leading our transfer campaigns won't get us to the top. The press is speculating now if one of them leave the club in the summer. Chirico is sure it won't be Conte. And I hope he is right.
 usually a rift in our beloved team is something to worry about; but this time :tuttosport: marotta should gtfo.

I don't get the idea of a Sporting Director (businessman) deciding which players to buy instead of the coach (tactician).

I don't get it at all.
Quite simple.

Coaches are usually just passing through, while sporting directors are most often at a club for a long time.

Regardless, from what we can gather there seems to be a joint responsability at Juve.

There is one thing what it said on the press and another thing what really happens.
And at any case, regardless of what the coach asks, if the manager fails to deliver that, the coach will not officially admit that his manager has failed and he will try to defend his innefficient manager, by accepting a part of the responsibility for the failure, event though it wasnt, just for the shake of team integrity!

It is very important that we present our selves as a team and show no weaknesses and a man like Conte certainly wont sacrifice our team's benefit his personal, at least willingly...

You said that Conte was selfish for taking this job and that he made us lose the Coppa final on purpose.

selfish or stupid in that post... it was remained to be seen, no one could tell at that point and it was proved that he was arrogant enough to actually believe that he can deliver in that level against all the odds.
At that i time i found it unthinkable, but somehow Conte did it, thankfully, risking his coaching carrier for ever!
So there is no reason to doubt his integrity anymore, esp after what happened in this summer, his overconfidence maybe...

As for the cup and it was proved many times that he doesnt really care or it...

It was a terrible assumption though. I just can't fathom why you would think a club legend like Conte (who clearly loves the club with all his heart) would be selfish to take a job he himself said he wanted from the time he quit as a player?

It was just typical of your standard of bashing almost anything that happens with this club for the sake of it.

It was much better when you just said "You're right", "Splendid post Cronios, keep it up" or "10/10 post, save it on USB for future reading"

All major professional sports franchises have some sort of general manager in charge of procuring personnel. They always work closely with the coaching staffs and usually have to have some knowledge of the sport and the club's positional needs/strengths/weaknesses.
