I can see Conte's reasoning really. We play the 4-1-4-1 and the other team has 1 shot in 90 minutes. If we could just scrape a fucking goal somehow. I understand why he is hesitant to change. FFS we had the ball the whole game. But I know he will figure something out.
We wasted so many freekick/corner ops. Delivery was excellent but nobody on the end of it.

But overall, Conte wants to start all 3 of Pirlo/Marchisio/Vidal and that means one out and out striker.

For the million times, you risk when you play with 1striker against a team that plays for a draw and nothing but a draw. They were packed, fully packed at the back and Vucinic was isolated whether some of you like it or not we did NOT create chances with one striker. Typical game of the Catania one and Semi of the Milan one.

Some of you wont complain because eventually it did work against Milan. But keep in mind Milan do not defend and play for the draw like Chievo, Catania, Cesena, Bologna etc do.

We have quality strikers capable of making differences, from Matri to Del Piero and Quagliarella. They can all give headache to their opponents and score from any chance. Why do we have to keep 4 strikers out, out of 5?

Plus this system isn't fitting Pirlo's role like the 4-2-4.

Get over the Milan game kids. Those tactical 1striker 5man midfield works against tactical teams sometimes. But in Serie A to win against average and weak teams you can't go into the field hoping Vucinic would do wonders against 4defenders or wait for some Marchisio Bonera fuck up.

We were good with two strikers against Parma and Siena. We got our 6points, why change? Get back to it ffs.

I was wrong about persisting with the 4-1-4-1. Our midfield is over crowded with three midfielders against sides who want only to flood their defensive half. No need for a 4-3-3 because the 4-2-4 works just fine against these teams. We saw what happened when we made the change against Chievo and Catania. Everyone seemed to find much more space as soon as we changed back to the 4-2-4.

Milan did seem like they play for a draw, Juve were bombarding them. At one point Allegri was even substituting Cassano, the one that can make a difference for them, for a non-attacking player (I think it was Urby).

For God's sake Milan have the better players, they have better defensive midfielders in Nocerino and Van Bommel, better defenders in Nesta and Thiago Silva, and I doubt it if any of Chievo's defender is actually better than Bonera, who seems to be taking more fall these days.
Yet they still putting like eight men behind the ball almost like Chievo.

But even after all that, why Juve couldn't make more threats just like Milan game? There are few possible answers. One, they're playing away so mentally they're not as strong as when they play at home. Two, players seems need time to adapt after playing some international fixtures. Three, some key players just simply couldn't make the same impact as before, especially Vucinic.

The game against Siena was not a good one and Juve were struggling to attack when they face Bologna just like when they go against Chievo.

How can you come up with that conclusion? I thought almost everyone agrees that Pirlo works best with 3-man midfielders.

FFS Juve controlled the game, I'm not saying it was a good game for Juve but that's a good thing when you consider Pellisier, the one that always seems to be the most dangerous goalscorer against Juve last seaosn, had almost become nonexistent. I just don't want Conte to throw 4-1-4-1 yet, it's too early to tell.

How doesn't 4-3-3/4-5-1/4-1-4-1 fit Pirlo? Its the perfect formation for him.

We just need to have more attacking wingers. Play Vucinic - Matri - Quag/Elia/Krasic

Whatever Conte does, he should absolutely not go back to a 2 man central midfield again because the strongest part of our team right now is our 3 man midfield with Vidal, Marchisio and Pirlo and they give us an edge out there.
