seeing as conte talks much to vidal in the training means conte thinks he has much to tell vidal to make him understand the system, so playing marchisio in the middle is more of a calculated risk compared to vidal who might have no clue what to do in key situations.

if you followed the game there where situations in the game tonight where conte called arturos name repeatedly probably meaning he is not satisfied with how he follows the orders.

i am all for vidal playing in the centre, but let him grow into the role until conte thinks he is at least as useful there as pazienza or marchisio

I love the arrogance in this.

It's not like Conte plays some sort of sophisticated system that only a few understand. He plays an attacking 4-4-2, which used to be the most common goddamn system in football. Vidal isn't a baby or new to football, he's played the system before and would completely understand how to play it again given just a few pointers from Conte. You know, like make sure you are weary of where you are at all times in relation to Pirlo.

Most probably they are trying to see what will happen if they don't buy an LW, and if so, they're do the same old inane stuff their loser predecessors tried.

Marotta maybe, but Conte seems to be saying 'Look at the kind of s**t we are stuck with if you don't buy a LW'
He also might be trying to give Marchisio every possible chance now so when he does drop him, no one can be complaining.

You're like the kid at school who is so stupid that everyone teases him all the time that eventually goes home and cries to him mum and eventually has to change schools because everyone hates him.
