Juve don't have five defenders when playing 3-5-2.

I think Juve probably have more possession with 3-5-2, but they probably did have better possession with the 4-3-3.

4-3-3 is more defensive probably because of the players. For instance, Chiellini and Licht and LB and RB is much more defensive than what we have now.

Who the fuck cares......Conte knows what he is talking about. And the fact that we cant understand what he is talking about means we know shit about football. Or not to offend some "experts" here, ill rephrase.....we know shit about football compared to Conte...

Yeah, it depends on the tactics and the personnel.

When Juve play 3-5-2 with Isla and Asamoah wide, you'd be hard pushed to argue it's not an attacking line-up (at least potentially).

Licht-Barzagli-Bonucci-Chiellini-PDC are all defenders.
And how often have Juve played with those five this season?

I'd think there is more chance that he's said something relatively simple like that to fob off the question and to defend his decision to change to 3-5-2.

I don't assume that coaches are giving away much by way of in-depth knowledge or insight when doing a Q&A session.

Bingo.

And the results speak for themselves. 29 goals in 12 league appearances, more than any other club in the league. 10 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat. 8 goals in 4 CL matches. Pretty damn offensive, if you ask me.

honestly the 3-5-2 looks quite like a 3-3-4 sometimes...
Yep, and that's exactly what Conte is referring to when he claims it's the most attacking formation we have. Very often you will see Asamoah and Isla (and even Licht, he tries his best to do it) high up the field, almost as high as the corner flag / goal line of the opposition.

If you really think of it its almost like a 3-3-4, but Marchisio and Vidal are making runs so its almost like a 3-1-6 when on the attack. it really depends how u think about it but with the 3-5-2 u have more men in the midfield so u always play a high line and causing the team to push the opposition back and causing our line of defence to end around the halfway line. I think that is what conte means. He is talking about how in the 3-5-2 Juve maintain the ball in the midfield and so the back trio is allowed to keep a such high line.

hilarious. Licht, asamoah, marchisio, vidal, are all attackers? please get your head out of your ass, maybe you like the view from there!

well to be fair with the dude, those guys u mentioned are always looking for spaces to attack the enemies... so while they do their best to defend,,., they also go on the offensive pretty often,,, so yeah,.

In 3-5-2 we have 5 defenders on fields while in 4-3-3 we have only 4. I really don't get it! I Think Juve had better ball possession when we played 4-3-3.
what do you think the "3" in 3-5-2 stands for ?
just because wing back sounds awful lot like full back doesn't make it the same position and responsibilities on the pitch.
the 4-3-3 deployed by us does have a better defense simply because of the people we would employ in it. using someone like pepe on the right wing will let you have three players that can defend on the right flank (right back, right central midfielder and right wing), while giovinco may be doing some defensive work, this is mostly in the form of pressing the opposition, but you hardly see him at the height of the own penalty box like pepe.

a 4-3-3 can be more attacking then the 3-5-2. But the way conte played it with pepe on the right (who tracked back a lot) it was more defensive then the 3-5-2 we see now. Cos I also see Marchisio and Vidal making more runs into the area then with the 4-3-3. when they were back more often to create space for the fullbacks to make their attacking runs. The wingbacks maybe don't play so high as the wingers did.
