I assume the news I get around here is heavily Juve biased. If we sum up everything that has been stated in the media, there is just one guy who claims Conte knew about this alleged match-fixing. Conte denies this and there are many more witnesses that back him up. Are we leaving something out?

Don't think so.

I wouldn't necessarily criticise the authorities for taking this to a tribunal/trial, even if there does seem to only be one accuser.

I don't see how Conte could be found guilty on that basis, though.

The prosecution would have to make the case that every single one of Conte's backers was in on the fix and they are all now acting in unison to cover for each other, while the lone accuser is absolutely to be trusted.

Pretty tough case to make, especially when Conte has a clean record.

Makes me wonder though about information that hasn't been leaked to the press. Maybe there are witnesses we don't even know about, or maybe some witnesses changed their testimony infront of the tribunal. Do you know if the tribunal transcripts were leaked/released to the press?

Don't know.

The authorities seem to have been happy to have this whole thing play out in the media, so I'm not sure I'd be overly concerned at heretofore unannounced evidence.

Certainly a possibility, though.

Isn't sporting trial something like "guilty until proven innocent"?

Sporting trials in Italy are a joke. If Conte is convicted of something I hope he appeals to a real court of law and takes his chances there. In a real court it would take something special to convict him based on the testimony of 1 or maybe even 2 or 3 when you have 10 or more others saying the opposite. Not to mention the fact that this Carrobio is hardly a model witness. He has reason to lie.

It is, many papers have it on their first page.
Yet only CDS is putting it among the headlines.
GDS & TS only put a small note.

Considering it's Juve we're talking about, I would have expected this to not just be a headline today, but the only headline. Yet for some reason it isn't.

A somewhat different approach/climate than a few years ago imo.

Carrobio is being hailed as someone who fight against crime

Lo Monaco is still active and making transfers

Nobody says a word about the Chievo - merda game and the Samp - Genoa game

While Bonucci knew about this so called 'fixing' why isn't Frog mentioned

all fucking bullshit.
