Legend

- - - Updated - - -

Imagine a real legend like Del piero, Trez, Gigi, etc saying something like that.
Imagine any of our legendary coaches saying something like that (Lippi, Allegri, Trapp, Deschamps, etc)

- - - Updated - - -

He was only provided total scrubs and flash in the pan players like Vidal, Pirlo, Vucinic, Asamoah, Lichtsteiner, Pogba, Tevez and Llorente amongst others. Scraping the bottom of the barrel with that quality.
But Juve was the best team in Italy. Look at the scrubs playing for him at poor Chelsea.

That’s not true. When he arrived we were 7th :D As he likes to remind us. And many posters on here and led to believe that he was the only reason why we won the Scudetto...and not the top players Marotta and co brought in to help him.

True, his first season was legendary but like you said, he had plenty of great players. Vidal and Pirlo mainly. Both players who don't need a great coach to excel.

If you're playing one competition in a season, Conte is maybe the best coach in the world. He sucks at playing multiple competitions because his game management is terrible.

lol gotta admire Allegri who's been in the running for the treble almost every year now. Check the stats on that, haters. Three years = three Serie A, three Coppa Italia, two CL finals and past the group stage every year.

Conte responds to a journalists question and says he often doesn't get the players he requests due to his clubs not willing to spend much and you try to make fun of him with that list? a list with Vidal (12m), Pirlo (free), Vucinic (15m), Asamoah (18m), Licht (12m), Pogba (free), Tevez (9m), this certainly proves we were not on austerity programme :baus: Besides some of the players you listed were bought between Conte got here.

Your post is on similar level to Sturaro at RB

We were making less money back then you moron. We only started buying better and more expensive players when we progressed further in Europe and our revenue improved. Maybe if he stuck around for longer instead of abandoning ship, he would have lived to see us sign all those shiny toys he yearns so much for. Stop being obtuse. Oh and how about these “austerity measures” at Chelsea.

€80m on Morata
€40m on Drinkwater
€45m on Bakayoko
€20m on Zappacosta

Go to sleep.

Chelsea are actually selling almost as much as they are buying - Costa, Matič, Oscar - compare that to Liverpool, Man Utd or City financial policy and you'll see his point. I'm not advocating for Conte here, I'm pointing out that your logic has deep flaws in it, calling others morons won't make it less true.

And I feel we kinda started buying worse and more expensive players.

What about the players they sold, Chelsea has a net spend of 20 mil over the last 2 seasons while the Manchester clubs are in the 300s. Maybe you are the one who needs some shut eye.

Conte was the reason Costa was sold. Costa comes on first game for Atletico and scores. Saw the highlights. Love Morata but he missed some sitters against Arsenal.

If Conte wants to get any player in the world he has to become coach of PSG or Real Madrid. As Man City is taken already.

So maybe he should have held out for the Manchester clubs then. Every other club is pretty much operating under “austerity” if that’s the standard.

He got rid of Costa himself. Forced him out of the club. And you’re gonna tell me it wasn’t his decisions to sign players like Zappacosta and Alonso?

Chelsea doesn't sell starting players.
They sell deadwood like Cuadrado and buy improvements like Zappacosta.
Well except cases when Conte has a beef with his second most crucial player and management is forced to buy a replacement.
And tbf CFC roster was better than both MU and MC, so net spending doesn't show the whole picture.
