The best defender is old Terry and injured zouma, one great full back, rest of defence: Ivanovic,Cahill,Alonso,Aina--- now Sunderland material now. Cesc has past it, Oscar has not played great for years. Weak squad

He'll be sacked if he doesn't, no question. He needs to be in with a chance of finishing top 4 or he'll be gone.

I read that Abramovich was willing to put good money in for this summer pending them making the CL, otherwise he's just keeping the status quo.

He has good chances of winning, all he needs to do is maintain consistency. The only sides that are clearly better then them this season are only City and Tottenham.

I don't know about Liverpool's inferior selection...I'd say they have a better team then Chelsea despite the blues having bigger names. Both their defences are equally shiet however Liverpool has better fullbacks (defensively shite, but contribute a lot more to team play then the aczipuelta and friends), Liverpool's midfield is a lot more cohesive (henderson having season of his life) then Chelsea's, even though Chelsea has waay better players in Matic, Kante, Oscar, Cesc. In attack, Chelsea has the better striker in Costas, however Hazard is shite and Willian is trying. Coutinho, Firmino and Mané are forming quite the partnership and Sturridge has yet to hit his stride yet, once he does they'll be even more dangerous.

Liverpool will be going very far this season, I expect them to finish in top 4 if there are no serious injuries, with a bit of luck I can see them winning it even!
