Crazy how both of the teams that I love, Juventus and the San Francisco 49ers have such similar stories. Both teams were once great teams, went into obscurity, and came back to the spotlight at the hands of "mastermind" coaches in Antonio Conte and Jim Harbaugh. Conte had 3 consecutive scudettos, Harbaugh 3 NFC title games in a row with One SB appearance. Both leave under mysterious circumstances but also get a chance to achieve one of their "dreams" in coaching the Italy National Squad and Michigan University. As we know, both Agnelli and Marotta were harshly criticized at the time for not giving him what he wanted and replacing him with a perceived fool in Allegri. Now the 49ers owner Jed York and GM Trent Baalke are being harshly criticized with replacing Harbaugh with a nobody in Jim Tomsula, and there is a perception that they drove Harbaugh out as well.
The Niners were always my favorite: man the days of Rice & Montana. :touched:

I firmly believe that the best thing he can do for us is sign for Inter Milan, try his best, sign all the mediocre players he likes. Have Internazionale have a roster of 13 mediocre Italiens out a 23 man squad, give Conte everything he wants. Then during the derby games defeating Inter would be so much more satisfying, cause we get to crush a traitor. And he might start balding again with the stress :weee:

I haven't seen Totti or Mario desert their team. I genuinely wish him ill for the rest of his career, Zeman 2.0
:sergio: :sergio:

so you hate the guy that masterminded 3 straight league titles and a number of records, but you like the idiot who hates Juve with a passion and a madman who is wasting his career because his attitude stinks this has to go down as one of the dumbest post i've ever seen

Our team back then wasnt mediocre. Team that has Vidal, Pirlo, Licht, Barza, etc... cannot be called as such.
Vidal was still a nobody that just had a good season in germany. The rest of the squad were all terrible. Pirlo was a finished veteran on a freebie. Barzagli was a terrible player who Wolfsburg no longer wanted. Bonnuci was a disaster. De Ceglie. Marchisio was a disaster. Elia and Krasic were a horror show. Giacherrini and Estegbarria are the definition of mediocrity. Vucinic, Quags, Matri and a declined DP.

Inter today have about a similarly mediocre squad. If a coach can bring Vidic back to old levels and get Kovacic to explode and Hernanes and guarin to be consistent they will have a solid midfield. In attack they have Shaqiri, Podolski, Palacio and Icardi.

Yes I do hate the one who "masterminded" 3 straight league titles. Fucker stole Mazari's tactics  and the first scudetto was a great feat, but after that the league was absolute shit, we were and still are heads and shoulders above everyone, us holding down this position is EXPECTED!!!

Now what is NOT expected, nor accepted, his rat like behavior. Conte, is as sleezy as they come. Sure he showered the team with a lot of his great human qualities, but the instants you turn your back on them selfishly like that, speaks volume about him as an individual. He is a coward and an extremely lucky professional.

As for Totti, he can Juve all he wants, his hate don't feed me, nor doesn't if affect me. Totti however has an attribute that I really admire in people, loyalty. The man bled for his shirt, cared more for his club than la Nazionale. He's an idiot, he's obnoxious, he's an ass, he's washed out, but he remained. Where's Conte?

As for Balotelli, he's the fucking man :D

Totti bled for the shirt but Conte didn't? you clearly aren't old enough to remember him as a player, Conte stayed with Juve till he bloody retired so I don't know what the hell you're on about. Oh yes let's blame Conte for winning the titles and breaking records when it was shit, i guess Allegri's achievements (if he were to win the league this season) would be over looked too because the league is so much better since then right? get real

Anyways, we'll see how far he can go in his coaching career, plagiarizing tactics off of Mazari.

There was a big difference in quality between 2010 and 2011 teams. Preconception is that Barzagli was a disaster prior to making a move here, when in fact he was one of the best defenders in Germany, pivotal for Volfsburg's title.

Vidal was coming off a great season, top scorer for Leverkusen, his quality was well known among majority of Bundesliga followers. Conte didn't make him a better player, as he came here as a finished product, complete player, one capable of making a difference.

Pirlo was still a WC and there's Licht, who after Maicon was considered as the best FB in the league.

Four key players that instantly improved our squad back then, rightfully were considered among the best on their respective spots in Serie A. Trying to find resemblance with current Inter's squad is a laughable attempt and rather abysmal way to overrate Conte's work.
