Juventus are reportedly unwilling to release players for Antonio Conte’s Italy training camps, and it could result in the England game being moved.
The meeting between Conte and the Serie A Coaches last Tuesday was followed by statements from director general Beppe Marotta,
saying that the Old Lady has no compulsion to offer its players for the suggested training camps.
Today Tuttosport report that Juve are reluctant to release their players for the CT’s planned training meet-up to be set between the end of January and beginning of February.
Seen as believing the FIFA dates already provided for international fixtures is sufficient, the club are even reported as having consulted their legal team in the event the Azzurri do attempt to call up their players.
Conte is listed as increasingly at odds with Juve, and Calcionews24 suggest that his resignation from the national team still cannot be ruled out,
even as he did so this week.
Should an agreement between club and country not be reached, and Juve veto any training camp being held, it may bring a response from the Italian Football Federation.
The Corriere dello Sport suggest that the FIGC could opt to move the Italy-England game on March 31 from the intended venue of the Juventus Stadium to Torino’s Stadio Olimpico.
Today the Lega Calcio will be voting on the dates for the beginning and the end of next year's season, respectively August 23 and May 15, with a view to easing Conte's preparations for Euro 2016.
