Here is what ya'll need to learn from this whole thing. You can always teach tracking back and putting pressure on opponents, but you can never teach offence and individual brilliance. We could still play 4-3-3 with Sanchez and Nani on the flanks and still have the same mentality when Conte forces Sanchez and Nani to track back. The only difference now is that we'd have 3 players who know what to do offensively compared to today were we only have Tevez.

We're still a Conte team and will always emphasize defence but formations are just a numbers game at the end of the day. It's just that we need more players who know what to do offensiely. If we had Cuadrado instead of Licht, a better offensive player instead of Asamoah and a trequartista behind Tevez and Llorente we'd be better offensively. The truth is that we don't, we have defensive midfielders and defenders asked to play in offence.

Tackling, positiong and marking are things that cannot be learned overnight.

lol c'mon dude..something gotta give. I think we can live without all 10 players having the full defensive repertoire. Bayern even managed to get Ribery and Robben to do work defensive work defensively.

Man, if it was up to some of ya'll wingers and offensive midfielders would not exist, only defensive midfielders and fullbacks.

You are assuming conte rejected sanchez and nani and instead went for isla and gio ? . dont you think conte would like sanchez and di maria if he could ? , the point is asa tevez llorente licht are better as a team than say isla tevez gio or tevez llorente gio ...we had krasic and elia but they dint work out for us . Just look at man u play with rooney mata kagawa nani starting...all attacking players 0 goals , cant do shit because actually if you see mata/kagawa/rooney all 3 are players for 1 position behind the striker , playing out of position is not effective for team play .

It's written in the stars that we'll do good next season in Europe because of the $#@!yness we showed this season.

Our attack was the least of our trouble all season long. Individual mistakes in defence cost us an early exit.

We should focus on defence, not attack.

lulic and peryra would be good backups no ? ...more attack minded than asa and licht so if we need to change the tempo of the game conte can sub them in , current subs padoin peluso are just not enough and if our starting 11 is more rested they can perform in even better

At this level, such mistakes cost you points and games. Its that simple
One mistake in a match is not that much, take for example the match against FCK, we should have won but we couldn't. The attacking was not enough and Conte did not react accordingly. It's not that simple, either our attacking is good enough as you are saying or not. If it is good enough it should be good enough to cover for mistakes, if the mistakes are only individual mistakes.

If we are talking tactical mistakes then I do not expect the best of attacks to recover for these.

Exactly right. This is why the formation does matter.
