Conte: scudetto more important then Europe :sergio: :sergio:

We need a coach with the right attitude, he doesn't have it, everytime he as sacked bout the cl he writes it off saying our only main focus is the scudetto, now he's doin the same even when were in the el, like come on dude, we need to make a deep run in Europe in the cl, dominating a weak league isnt the first thing that we should focus on, we need to focus on the cl ffs

I'm still complaining about our European campaign due to our pathetic attitude towards the EL this same season.
This is the most disappointing thing for me. Still early in the competition, we'll see our we react during the second leg. Conte should be taking this as a learning process, he's gonna need to know/learn how to properly rotate his squad accordingly with the European schedule. Unfortunately that's not what's happening, and it's a damn shame, cause the circumstances are perfect. We have a superior squad then everyone in BOTH the league and the Europa League, we have a 17 point lead (Roma still have 2 games but fuck that it's still 17pt lead) and despite all that we are not putting forth our best efforts to win everything. But we'll see, he's a young coach who has a lot on his plate and that is growing steadily.

I am generally a Conte supporter but I can make valid criticisms as well. It's called balance. The glut of my frustration comes not just from our failures in Europe but our attitude towards it and Conte's inability to learn from past failures.

Conte employed the exact same tactic in all 4 encounters with FCK and Gala. We managed to win just 1 out of 4 encounters with those teams and although, like I said, I like Conte, how can that not be worrisome? How can that not warrant criticism. It's not an unfair criticism IMO.

Now his attitude towards the EL is frustrating as well. He's electing to use squad rotation in our EL games instead of Serie A when probably everyone but him knows the league is OVER. It's concerning because it makes me believe he lacks any nuance or strategy. Sometimes he presents himself as an irrational fanatic with this Serie A stuff. A 14 point lead is not good enough to allow us to focus on 2 competitions? Is this going to be a problem as long as he's here, where he can only focus on 1 competition?

All of a sudden now he wants squad rotation but when we were in that stretch killing all the minnows like Samp, Cagliari etc. he was playing the starters for 90 minutes. We had 2 or 3 goal leads and he was subbing in the 85th, 89th minute ffs.

Conte: Juve prefer Serie A over EL

"I always said the Scudetto was our main priority, to give the third consecutive title to the president," the Juventus coach told reporters.

"Of course we also want to progress in the Europa League, but the primary objective has always been the Scudetto.

"Fiorentina have a clear advantage with the first leg result.

"Reading the papers and listening to what people say, it felt as if on Friday they had already celebrated Juve’s elimination from the Europa League."

This is a load of bullshit the league is almost over and he is contradicting what he said a couple of weeks ago when he said Juve will take the EL seriously. He played a full strength squad against Genoa and is now going to rotate against Fiorentina in arguably our most important game of the season.

This manager does not have the mentality for Europe i am sorry, he has bottled Europe already when we had a fucking easy group. Was to stubborn to change tactics in the CL and it cost him.

Taking EL seriously is completely different from preferring it to the Scudetto.

True, but his two statements do not contradict each other as you suggested.
If he was taking it seriously would he not put out a full squad? He didn't do that against Fiorentina and he didn't want the players to kill the game off against an injury ridden Fiorentina team that we were playing at home?

That sounds to me like he is not taking it very seriously the competition anyway.
