It's cool and all that he loves some of those players but we can't fucking carry around a 30man+ squad.

And I'm all kinds of heart broken about Matri leaving but it was the right choice to make (or quags).

I think Conte has a tendency to get TOO attached to players, and this is not necessarily a good thing. He needs to be diplomatic. Being upset every time a player gets sold is a little worrying. I never saw Lippi get animated like that whenever a player gets sold, and he had far more influential players sold from under his nose during his time here.

Weird. No team can keep so many players. It's him who asks for reinforcements and with somebody coming to the club another has to go.

I think he's being emotional because those players gave their very best and won 4 trophies in 2 seasons which is fantastic that's for sure. They surely deserve credit for what they have done but we have to strengthen and move on.

He could be unsatisfied on a personal level, like with any other good player who knows how to behave and was a good proffesional. But in no way he could be mad at a sporting level, because him, marotta and agnelli planned this before the mercato started. It was plain obvious that we were goign to offload strikers, specifically quags and Matri. He knew it, so I dont think he is mad like if he was surprised by it.

Well that's just it. Give credit where credit is due, but don't keep harping on the economic situation in Italy every time. Repeating something over and over doesn't make it any more true than it already is. I love the guy's passion, but I think that he probably needs to learn to keep it in check sometimes. And he should know by now that Juve are farther ahead of the curve than any other squad in Italy as far as the economic situation is concerned.

Then again, I haven't read the transcripts from the press conference, so I don't really know what was said, so I could be jumping the gun a bit.

Well maybe you do but on the other hand we know him a bit and it's probably what he said.

In the end we did a fantastic piece of business. Tevez cost us 9m and Matri is sold for 11m. Before the transfer window nobody could even dream about such a scenario.

Well, perhaps he feels the need to prepare us tifosi for his departure? Conte is a true winner and I bet that in his mind he wants to become the coach to have won the most CL titles. If he can't achieve that with Juve due to financial constraints, he will move at some point, there's no question about that. The question is not if, but when.

Him constantly going on about the 'sad state of italian affairs' may just be a sign that this is something he isn't willing to put up with in the long run.

He's given Marotta alot to answer for tomorrow.

Frankly for how well we did financially last season our expenditure this market has been shameful for a top club.

Wait what?!?!?!

Since when did spending a lot of money guarantee success?

You can't be serious.

Adding Tevez, Llorente, and Ogbonna for 23 million combined, nearly offset by the sales of Matri and Giacch for 18.5 million.

Here is what Marotta's answer should be tomorrow "We are a lot better squad than we were at the end of May, and paid out very little to do so."

Good enough answer for you?

Shameful for a top club? Please look through our revenues and FFP implications and compare it to english teams and other "top" clubs so you want write such ignorant posts.
We are making loss every year, FFP is already in "monitoring" period, we have to sell somebody because we dont need so many players and we do not have tv rights contracts lucrative as english teams.

Our revenues are not yet and who knows will it ever be big enough to spend like "top" teams.
