Shame we couldn't get more from Immobile, but it's his fault that we will end up with very weak 7.5m eur in total for a u-21 NT striker, who scored 28 goals last year. He was given so many chances and starts in Genoa, but just couldn't click. Only 4-5 goals iirc.
Then again, maybe we're rushing with his sale. I don't think that the 50% we own will lose much value even if he has another below average season. A solid season on the other hand will raise his value and we could get up to 7-8m eur for his half.

Finally, we all knew how it's gonna end but it's good to know it's end. And theoretically after Cavani sell, Napoli could try to make price higher. Angelo will have hard time here, he have to show top quality to play in top defense of the world.

By the way, it's my 1.000 post. I would like to thank you for warm welcome at forum, you are great guys
congrats !

It was reported that Marotta and co. were unhappy with Genoa's handling of Immobile. He didn't get a whole lot of playing time.

It's 15mln overall and it's what it should be looked. Otherwise we could've signed him for 1mln and 20mln bonus. It's still 21 million.
But let's consider that they will buy Immobile's half for 4m from us. Overall deal working out to about 11m. Pretty par for course deal. Especially considering that Napoli tried to get a bidding war going and Preziosi decided to act like a dick on stilts.

Torino putting a gun to our head?

Screw the lot of them, send Beltrame out on loan, call back Immobile and Sorensen and lets make the best use of our own boys. I mean we now have Peluso and Caceres, as mainly CB subs. Caceres for both RB/RWB/RM if we need, Peluso to deputise the other side, Asah is more than capable at LM; and Pepe when he's healthy can do the same on the right, let's not forget that Giak can also play either side.

I'd prefer we brought Kolarov for less or neither; I'd rather we used what we have.

I really see this transfer as quite unnecessary.

Immobile is a separate deal, this is going to be end up being close to €15m if everything goes well for Juventus.

:agree: Caceres is ok but Ogbonna will be great.
I really can't believe how much people undervalue Caceres in any position. The guy is beastly, his performance in the 2010 WC and 2011 Copa America bordered on the heroic, he proved time and again that he was able to hold his own when the chips are down. Not to mention that his injured his knee in preseason in the stupid Belusconi cup, then suffered another injury mid season before having the car accident, and still managed to put in minutes before season's end.. He'd practically die for club or country, you can't buy that kind of grinta, and grinta aside, besides his average crossing, he's a very competent defender.

Peluso isn't convincing as a CB, neither is Caceres for that matter. We need another CB to deputise for Chiellini when he's going to inevitably get injured.
Sorensen?

I don't think he is that good, competent definitely, but I wouldn't say amazing. But even if he is as good as you, having only 1 proper backup CB is not enough for a 3 man defense. Ogbonna is necessary any way, since Peluso is cack as CB.

Will we see Ogbonna as a vice Chiellini or will we see him play as a lb also?

Juve line up Ogbonna alternatives
By Football Italia staff

Juventus could make moves for Andrea Ranocchia and Davide Astori if their move for Angelo Ogbonna fails to go through.

Reports on Tuesday suggested that the Bianconeri's proposed deal for the 25-year-old had stalled after talks between Beppe Marotta and Urbano Cairo ended in stalemate.

And Tuttosport believe that the Old Lady, who have become impatient with their city rivals, could terminate talks and go for alternatives instead.

The Turin-based newspaper claim that those alternatives are Inter's Ranocchia and Cagliari man Astori.

The Nerazzurri centre-back could be available for around €17m, whilst the Isolani defender is likely to command a fee of €12m.

Ogbonna plz come:cry:

It's a done deal dude, most of the papers released their today's editions before the second meeting in which apparently we found an agreement.

And btw, Sky says that we might decide to keep half of Immobile and co-own him with Torino.

True. Sorensen is an interesting prospect, lets see if he has another positive season with Bologna.
I still wonder why don't we bring back Sorensen?

Even we signed him and gave him chance on the field, he did very good. He showed promise and lots of talent. He was very mature for his age. Loaning him out was fine. But at this point when we're chasing a 15mln sub, or 4th CB player, it just looks wrong. We should simply bring him back and invest money elsewhere. It's just wrong IMO.

What do you all expect when dealing with 2 clubs like these, especially Viola & Granata. Just poach their players when their contracts are close to ending til they learn to respect their masters. For now Ogbonna isn't exactly top priority so couldn't care less if the deal fell through. Ljajic situation, we should steal that bitch just for the fun of it. Nergh! Nergh! ;)
