fine, even if they make it better looking, I feel like you'd be possibly sacrificing performance to get the ability to customize. for example, does a bluetooth chip really need to be that big? etc, etc. also, i wonder how it'll deal with getting wet. my htc one got wet over the summer and it works fine. the cracks on that look like they would water through. although at the same time it would be easier to take apart and let dry.

but my point is, if they make it, i don't think it'll be among the best smartphones out there, just a gimmick.

how did you make that out?

and making it waterproof is simply designing a perfect case over it.

because of all the little boxes you put on it. other phones can use smaller ones and just hide them inside the body, takes up less space.

a perfect case. so many people don't want to spend money on cases or want something that looks good instead.

bro it's a concept.

why are you comparing it to the existing product line when it does not exist and you don't know how the finished product will look like if it ever comes out. it may have a size comparable to the current phones. it may be water proof. maybe not.

it is a great idea though considering the customization.

Also, depictions of such concepts are usually far away from the final product. If it gets the funding it needs, then I'm sure they'll make sure such concerns are addressed. Maybe v1.0 won't be perfect, but there's certainly huge potential.
