i would have gone with the samsung myself, infact im looking to get one myself as an upgrade, i keep hearing problems with guys at work over their iphones and how unreliable it can be at times, but they only prefer it purely for the apps nothing more, samsung is i'd say the more reliable brand, never had a problem with them

There are stacks of free stuff on both the apple and play stores. Same goes for paid apps. This is from my experience using both stores.

The One X is very nice. The screen is excellent and I like the shape of the handset compared to the Galaxy 3.

that turned me off at first too but I've dropped my S2 so many times so badly and its still intact including the screen.

I prefer the build quality and feel of the 1x, as well as prefer Sense over the shit Samsung use to slap over the Android ui.
