Dunno if you guys heard, but basically Nokia is in serious crisis these days (because they failed to turn their market domination of a few years ago into a competitive advantage), have abandoned definitely their linux-based MeeGo OS and have arrived at a point where their only options were to choose an outside vendor. Android or Windows. They chose Windows. :sergio:

Evidently, Nokia's "more open than Android" was just the briefest of flashes and they have now returned to what they do best: complete proprietary stack. Awful.
Nokia seriously fucked up about 5-6 years ago with investment in their N series. They figured making dumb ass media friendly devices would get them by. I won’t go into the pit falls of symbian and Nokia but I will admit that they did make the best phones ever between 1999-2005

I should say that till 2008-09, Nokia released some great phones in India. I somehow feel they did not think beyond this and their continued investment in Symbian based devices and not looking towards other OS's in the meantime was a big mistake.

The Tele2 has the 2.1 but they promised the 2.2 soon. However there are custom ROMs running the 2.2, you just have to root which is highly recommended. The guides are there in English and Swedish.
Cool :) Any site with information for upgrading that you recommend? I'm an Android n00b :p

Of course, in Swedish you have www.swedroid.se and they have a really good forum with lots of knowledgeable and helpful members.
In English you have the ultimate smart phone site and forum www.xda-developers.com

Both sites are jungles but you don't really care for anything other than the sub forum of your phone which makes things a lot easier.
