Airplane mode doesn’t save battery. Just get Juicedefender and ultimate jiuce

It does. Also, for the past few days, I turn off wifi and 3G connections when I go to bed. Gives a good couple of hours of battery.

The biggest improvement I saw was underclocking with SetCPU while the screen is off/phone locked. Saves quite a lot of juice.

Well yeah, underclocking is what boosts me up from 16 hrs to 20 hrs.

Not Android related, but HP announced the HP\Palm TouchPad. Looks like a pretty good device, though I have no idea how good the WebOS is.
