Are we after him or why is this thread still alive?

He would be ok backup btw.
Conte really wants him as he worked with him at Bari. At Bari he paired with Bonucci and they were actually one of the best CD pairing in the league. He was very promising until his injury and benching at Inter. He'd be Barzagli's back-up, which is not a bad idea. But Inter will never let Ranocchia come to us.

I'd do it. Frog can be successful under Conte - he'd be Barzagli's replacement.

On the other hand Isla doesn't convince me at all. That's why I'd do it.

Talks of Isla vs Ranocchia swap deal.

you do it?
That's tough, because in my opinion, Isla has more talent thatn Ranocchia.

However, with that being said, Ranocchia would fill a position of need, and being that he is still fairly young for a defender, Conte could help him reach his full potential

It would marginally make more sense, although it's obvious where this story has come from, considering each team was looking at the other player before they moved.

Would love to take a chance on Ranocchia, but would hate to give away Isla without giving him another full year.

He was such a great player at Udinese, and we've seen these serious injuries take some time.

Depends how much Isla end up costing us, even then I really don't like the frog. for a 4/5th choice cb we're pissing away the money invested in Isla, either give him another chance or make better use of his contract.
