What im most hopeful about when it comes to Pirlo is that he was a football genius. When you compare him to this influx of new coaches/former players, like OGS, Lampard, Gatuso ect, football-wise Pirlo was by far more superior. I know it doesnt work that way, but it is something i strongly believe in. He was a midfielder, and not a headless-chicken running on the byline sort of midfielder, but played what is probably the most difficult and demanding position in football where mainly the most intelligent players usually play and he was intelligent and of course you would expect a person like that to read and understand the game different than others. Thats why i trust Pirlo. We will see, time will tell.
Than you. This is what I have been saying.

The man just inspires confidence. I have faith that he will succeed as a coach and I hope he can work out the learning experience quickly before it ends up costing us this season or him his job

But Sarri is better suited for the job

Not just experience and technical pow, from results so far it also looks like Sarri is better suited for the job, last year we had 48 points after 19 rounds, this season 39. Fingers crossed Andrea has a revelation.
Well Sarri only got 35 points in his second half.
Also, the results are deceiving. Sarri was continuously being bailed out by CR7 pens and Dybala golazos. I’m not a big fan of xg, but our xg numbers are much better than last year. Besides, Sarri failed the eye test. Pirlo so far is doing okay.

The whole discussion was whether the rookie coach appointment was a mistake if we don't win the Scudetto. I think yes. You don't develop talents at the head coach position, you get the best man for the job.

It does give you hope because he was a very intelligent player and could read the game so well. Obviously different levels of ability but from what I read about Allegri he was a very smart player too.

Unfortunately football intelligence is not the only quality needed for a manager and increasingly it seems maintaining a dressing room/managing personalities is a big factor. Then you have soft skills like motivating people, adjusting approach for each personality, bravery in selections.

Hopefully Pirlo can bring a lot of these skills. Unfortunately a lot of them will come with experience.

Made some good adjustments to set us on this 6 match winning streak. Some very positive signs. Starting to play more to the team’s strengths.

Also has done a brilliant job with getting Cuadrado and Morata creating in the final third for this team. 12 assists for Juan in all comps. 9 assists for Alvaro.
