Arthur isn't motivated , fast or physical so he wouldn't add anything ,it would be the same
yeah, arthur the difference maker. ffs he didn't even want to come here, we had to seduce him like a virgin. i don't fancy arthur too much, he represents everything what's wrong with our recruitment strategy. and he's not even the one to blame. paratici should have sold pjanic to psg for 30-something and forget about arthur. i don't blame pirlo at all for not playing him.

that defense though... defensive line @ 45 meters, man marking instead of zonal marking with relatively slow defenders, slow transition, hybrid formation, wtf is this, literally no other team in the top5 leagues play like that.

i remember some echoing pirlo's genius observations about our mids when he said that our mids were mostly siuted for 2-man midfields. i wonder what they think now.

I was of the opinion that we should see the season out. But with what I'm watching recently, there's no guarantee we manage top 4. Our back line is completely unorganized. We could lose multiple matches very quickly.

So you have to balance what potential Pirlo might have long-term vs. literally missing the UCL next year.

I also believe that any basic, professional coach could immediately save our season with a switch to a normal 4 man backline. So just pick anyone at this point.
We shouldn’t even be discussing this had we not hired a bum and then replaced him with a rookie. We fucked up this big time.

I agree with you, the way we look now there’s a chance we will miss the CL and we all know how important that money is especially with how our finances are like these days.

But I’m not so sure any basic coach would magically fix all that’s wrong. If that was the case both Milan and Inter would’ve been “back” seasons ago. Instead they’ve been going from coach from coach lacking solid numbers that a winning team needs. They were as unpredictable as we are now. Can’t string a few wins together, we never know what to expect whether it’s against Napoli or Genoa.

Also today I don’t think our squad is that much better than theirs... if it is at all (Ronaldo and maybe a couple more). After BBC our defense has been constantly unreliable while the midfield that’s supposed to protect and support them is composed of nothing but average players, all of them.

I could see someone like Inzaghi or any of the realistic names we would go for having a hard time to find a solution to the on going issues we had for years. Sure it looks bad now but it could look even worse. Maybe it will with Pirlo though.

At least there are no more clowns around preaching his genius.

Its clear as water what is going on with a rookie coach. Fukin romanticism blinding people

Honestly I’m probably never going to like him for the same reason I’m bitter about Conte : missing out on a historic feat. Conte was winning the Europa at home and Pirlo the 10th consecutive scudetto
dat damn europa league defeat...

Still puzzled as to why he played Bumucci over Demiral. I have a suspicion it has to do with him being a former teammate of his, and so naturally has his bias.

Disappointed that he's the typical Italian coach who places more importance in seniority than merit.

Bonucci has no right to be starting still. Even Chiellini as great as he is, should be phasing out now. Stop being a pussy and give Demiral his chances.

And McKennie, he has more than earned his place.

Goddamn you, hipster Delneri!

I understand that being a rookie, he was almost unfairly thrust into this position (though, he should have known better). But, I'm really disappointed with Pirlo's lack of objectivity. To me as an armchair coach and looking at the mess from the outside, I fail to understand how Pirlo insists on playing his bumbling favorites.

If he is fired, this apparent favoritism and his stoic touchline appearance will probably convey a rather negative persona to any future employers.

When you wake up and realized he isnt fired yet.

Will only happen if top 4 is at risk

Like I said before the challenge this season was never Milan. It was always going to be Conte's Inter. The club may be in a dire state off the field but on the field they are the best team in Italy right now and they proved it by spanking us in the biggest game of the season so far.

It sucks but I'm still optimistic. Their off field problems will cause issues going forward. They may need to sell some of these good players they have now.

Long term I think our future looks good. We have a lot of excellent young players but the project isn't ready yet. Unfortunately for Pirlo, he has to deliver immediately. The win against Milan gave him some breathing room but the loss to Inter to means its already gone. Such is life for a Juventus coach.

Time to go buddy ... take a year or two with lower budget teams and you are welcome to comback ....

I still think Pirlo is distined for greatness ...but not so soon ..

Why we should suffer in this ? or harm the club image and its finances !
