Beckhams probably had one of the best free kick crosses and corners that I've seen, but scoring wise he wasn't really that flash. Certainly not up among the absolute best.

Regarding Pirlo, it's worth noting that in less than 3 seasons he scored 10 free kick goals for us in serie A, as much as he scored for Milan in 10 seasons. He scored 0 for Inter, 2 for Brescia and 3 for Reggina.

There is no confirmed number but the reported one is about 50%, in france. 44 goals for lyon in the league from free kicks in 7 or 8 seasons

the only confirmed number is 97% free kicks on targrt in one season

One could say the same about Pirlo, Camoranesi etc. Not very pacey, average physique and a tendency to look nonchalant. Does that make them lesser players?

Disregarding all the media attention, Beckham was actually a very good player with fine technique and vision.
