Most teams now really have to change their tactics to try and stop certain players we have, and that is something they didn't have to do in the last two seasons. Last season, it was all about stopping Krasic (which was a success for team) and we suffered. Now they have players like Mirko, Pirlo, hopefully Vidal, Krasic & Elia as well as matri in the box. We are more dangerous from more positions than we were the last 2 years.

Teams have to think about how to stop our key players rather than how to "take the game to us". This only stand true for 80% if the Italian teams, but when we play against Inter/Milan/Napoli it changes because they have players that suddenly we need to start making tactical changes to control.

Theoretically, we have the capacity now to unlock the smaller teams and start picking up points, but that comes down the Conte getting these small kinks ironed out.

“They are Pirlo-dependent, it is he who makes them play. If you take him out then the others become like ants and forsake their play." -- Catania's Pietro Lo Monaco

I can't say I disagree with the guy...

Which brings me to one of my first points, our dependency on Pirlo will subside a bit once our wingers start performing more often.

Would be interesting to see how you guys fare without Pirlo for a few weeks, he's been so integral to the way Juve plays, i just can't imagine how Juve will play without him. I'm guessing he'll really have a point to prove against Milan, so he'll probably be up for that game.

And who's going to serve those wingers the ball in attacking situations if not Pirlo? How effective our wingers are depends very much on how Pirlo performs.

During the practice game which brought the workout to a close, Andrea Pirlo sustained a bruise on his left knee. The midfielder’s condition will be assessed over the next few hours, but he has been included in Antonio Conte’s squad for tomorrow’s game.
