Let’s be honest, Bentancur was out which gave Danilo an opportunity in the middle.

If Benta, who has been poor for a long time was healthy, he’d play and we would’ve most likely dropped points.

Pirlo is still not holding players who aren’t performing accountable. This was just a random gamble which paid off, nothing calculated as he said himself.
either way, I hope danilos performance forces Pirlo to bench Bentancur, at least in that regista role.

not his fault his squad has been wrecked by injuries. would have been nice if more his players were fit at same time.

look at epl with mourinho in spur and klopp in pool. they are getting wrecked left and right.
Good point. He was set up to not succeed. And then Covid and injuries screwed him even further. He’s doing a decent job, all things considered. Of course, he has to keep improving to stay here

This has been a bad season overall, but I do still think that he has potential as a coach.
You can do so much when your squad with up to 8 injuries is only as good as Napoli's and Roma's.

Look how the return of morata gave us 6 points. Even one player can make so many differences, let alone losing the best player of the league for whole season and your best CM and best asisit providers of the team all get long injuries.

I'm still on the new coach train next summer but if he does the bare minimum in CL which is getting past Porto and if the team continues to play with the same intensity and desire until the end of the season, then it's definitely worth keeping him but problem is there is no evidence as of yet that the team can play like today pretty often. We have barely seen 1 or 2 games with similar performances which is pretty ridiculous for a club of Juve's standard.

Yes quality of the players makes a difference but the determination and drive is also important like how Chiesa demonstrated. It is unfortunate to see that only few players in this squad have shown the same level of intensity and urgency through the entire season.

Now this is the crucial part of the season where 1 or 2 games can make or break your entire season. If Pirlo is unable to motivate the boys to put their foot down and go on a run of games to play with the same intensity as today and most importantly show a will to win, then it's probably best to part ways.

All I want to see is some sort of progress and continuity. Milan initially wanted to part ways with Pioli but he went on an incredible winning streak with a bunch of average players so they had no choice but to reward him for his good work. If Pirlo can do something similar, then we can definitely look forward to next season with optimism even if we do end up losing the scudetto this year.

I guess all it takes is 1 good game and people can convince themselves of anything.

Talk of Scudetto contention - guys that ship sailed for the last time when we dropped points against Verona last week. The Scudetto is gone, inter have nothing to focus on other than serie a, their players will be fresh and they have a serial winner as a manager. Scudetto is over.

Last night was a big step towards securing our CL passage, which is seriously at risk this year. Don’t forget we have real struggles against the smaller teams when we have to break down a solid block. We’re going to drop a lot more points until seasons end so yesterday was important to get a win over a rival

This

only addendum I’d add is that once we crash out of the tourney I’d like to see how peeherelough gets his squad to respond for the remainder of the season

if he can have them continue to fight despite the scudetto lost that will speak volumes

Nonsens. If we can win our extra game against Napoli and Atalanta win tonight, we're only four points off them and we still face them... The odds aren't in our favour but... Fino Alla Fine means something.
