I'm still on the new coach train next summer but if he does the bare minimum in CL which is getting past Porto and if the team continues to play with the same intensity and desire until the end of the season, then it's definitely worth keeping him but problem is there is no evidence as of yet that the team can play like today pretty often. We have barely seen 1 or 2 games with similar performances which is pretty ridiculous for a club of Juve's standard.
Yes quality of the players makes a difference but the determination and drive is also important like how Chiesa demonstrated. It is unfortunate to see that only few players in this squad have shown the same level of intensity and urgency through the entire season.
Now this is the crucial part of the season where 1 or 2 games can make or break your entire season. If Pirlo is unable to motivate the boys to put their foot down and go on a run of games to play with the same intensity as today and most importantly show a will to win, then it's probably best to part ways.
All I want to see is some sort of progress and continuity. Milan initially wanted to part ways with Pioli but he went on an incredible winning streak with a bunch of average players so they had no choice but to reward him for his good work. If Pirlo can do something similar, then we can definitely look forward to next season with optimism even if we do end up losing the scudetto this year.
