It has nothing to do with settling down but the lack of quality. Despite De Light and Ronaldo missing, being in such a position at this point is unacceptable because even without top players we should be at the top. This is not even a peak of quality in Serie A as we basically have no competition whatsoever.

Imagine Barcelona without Messi, De Jong, Pique, or Real without Benzema, Ramos or Kroos, Bayern without Lewa, etc... We have been missing 3 key players. Lets see how things will look once MDL, Alex Sandro and CR return.

Valid point. Plus dybala has played 2 mins of football in several months. Plus we have Kulusevski and chiesa as newbies in the team and need to time to settle.

All adding reasons as to why we are kot playing well.

But how long can these reasons be used before the club starts to ask questions of pirlo?

Too early to diss Pirlo.
We were actually playing exciting football before the international break and CR7 catching the rona.

Even guardiola, let alone Allegri, would be struggling with such a depleted squad.

It's not depleted, neither imcompetent. It's actually quite good squad, mix of youth and old.

I think missing key players is a big factor, especially De Ligt as our defence is all over the place.

But we should have enough quality to beat Crotone and Verona at home. Our defensive shape and lack of improvement in that area is worrying.

Ofc, no excuses there. We were woeful against Crotone, eventhough not as bad against Verona. In the last Serie A game we were wasteful. We need to dispose those kind of teams regardless of who is on the pitch. But with a new inexperienced coach, missing 3 important players, can make a difference, especially at the start, when we are still finding our game. Being split second faster than opponent, better reading of the game, more clinical finish, mentality, etc...

It would also help a great deal if he stops selecting Bernadeschi. Thats entirely on him.

Guardiola struggles with a billion dollars squad, no surprise there.

We have injuries to three key players, and half the squad has never trained together for more than a month before season started, let alone preseason friendlies.

I think Natiönal friendlies should be abandoned this year. Useless risk of players health and detrimental to league football
