He could help Pirlo avoid beginners mistakes, but i dont see it happening.

The most depressing performances since Delneri’s season. Dreaded watching our games for the most part. And Sarri should thank his lucky stars for COVID, because with the way he was going prior to the lockdown, we wouldn’t have won Serie A either.
I fakedfanned So many games this season.

that would be the exact point
There is so much romance in that idea; one of our best managers in club history, guiding our new manager, beloved for his beautiful style as footballer.

The reality tho is that Pirlo has 0 experience. No doubt that he has the brains, but someone who can guide him and provide some tips and tricks at the background would without a doubt help him. In my opinion Lippi would be perfect. As far as I know he did the same with Cannavaro just recently.

Media comparing Pirlo with the likes of Zidane, but Zidane gained a lot of experience being a assistant of Ancelotti, managing Castilla and I know he also spend a few months next to Guardiola at Bayern.

Overal is something we don’t see quite often in Italy. In The Netherlands it happens more, but usually when things are going wrong you’d see a experienced manager helping out a young manager. It happened with Van Bronckhorst who got help from Dick Advocaat when things weren’t going well with Feyenoord. Although both advisor and manager should find a good balance between things, it’s something I’d love to see for us.

I wouldn’t doubt a second if Lippi is open to it, but I think it’s more a dream than reality.

Looks like it will be as much of an overhaul as possible this season. There was no way AA was going to hire a young coach like this and basically have the same core as last season. We are playing the long game on this one.

Yeah, but we have an aging CR also, this might be his last hurrah.

Unless he gets sold. Don't discount that notion. It would cost way too much money to build a team around him to win the CL. We had one chance at it, and that was it.

I could definitely see him going to PSG, and cash and "you know who" coming back the other way. This is just a theory. One of my caffeine induced theories, but I could see a cash + Icardi swap for CR7.

I know that people would be appalled at the notion, but in this market, player swaps are going to be all the rage.

I love Marcello and all, but when was the last time he was relevant.
Before he started smoking Chinese cigars.

Let's not forget the obvious question... if you're gonna have this kind of love affair over Pirlo's unwritten coaching career, why not Del Piero instead for that matter?

As far as I know, Del Piero never took any of the coaching courses.

Again.another newb comment..CR7 can probably go another three seasons scoring at least 25 goals a season. ‘Younger’ players like hazard will probably struggle to consistently perform across two seasons and retire at 33. CR7’s physical level is better than half of premier league players. It’s not just zlatan type of I-am-tall-with-Big-mouth kind of fitness. It is the type of I-can-probably-outsprint-VanDijk kind of fitness.
