The short corners are a stupid defensive tactic to stop us from getting counter attacked. They are infuriating as fuck. Last night I remember at least 3 occasions where the ball pretty much ended up all the way back to Buffon.

Other than that, I thought Pirlo had a pretty good game, especially in the second half.

Those short corners, I don't know, maybe the same reason why he didn't field Llorente last night, not enough players capable of out jumping Garay and Luisao, and the risk not worth the reward? But I still don't like these.

Spot on. Still silly to send everyone cramming the box only to play back to Gigi. I would leave the forwards in the box to hustle the defenders & position the shooters just at the edge of the box. That way at least we might get a crack at goal.

I am happy to see that more and more people are realising the pussy tactics that Conte spreads in the team when it comes to European matches.

It's like his tactics include the fact that bonucci isn't a football player..... when a team gets an early red card, they change their tactics to that of us when we play with 10 players (bonucci included)... When we play at home we play with 12-1 players and then we finally see a juve worth watching...

Yeah, but don't you guys think that he cannot up the tempo of the game anymore. When was the last time you have seen him do that? Maybe it's Conte, maybe it's him who knows. But the fact is he is god in a slow tempo game, but what happens when we need to increase the tempo?
You cant call us a counter attacking team as in , we do sit back soak the pressure but our build up play is not like chelsea or dortmund or madrid as in fast transition from defence to attack because we dont play with wingers . Thus when we are under attack licht and asa are defending in our own half and when we win the ball pirlo has it he has no one wide to pass it to . So he holds the play , we then start attacking by playing possession football , if we get pressed then you start seeing the long balls.
With real madrid its alonso to ronaldo straight ....with chelsea matic to hazard ...dortmund gundagaon to reus .
Thats why some here feel we are slow in our build up play almost like tiki taka.

but we have seen this happen even when fake lion is on pitch.

keep in mind bonucci, chiellini and pogba are very good at attacking corners. we have seen this happen in previous seasons. chiellini had a season where he scored 7 goals and 5 or 6 were from headers.

no excuse not to use such good aerial players
