I honestly think this might end up pretty bad for us. Whole of Italy waits for us to get slaughtered….

But to be fair I can’t blame Agnelli. He tried to bring Juve back to the big boys and for us with limited resources and a lame product (Serie a) it was pretty much impossible. You are up against freaking oil states and oligarchs…. They tried with inflating prices to gain a quick profit (even if you have the amortization of the player over the years like Arthur) and the fake salary agreement

I don’t think that we would be relegated, just docked points and slapped a fine and a transfer ban for 1-2 seasons.

You own and run the biggest brand in Italian Football. You're the only club that has its own stadium. Your revenues and spending capacities dwarf all local competitors by a margin. You've won 9 out of 10 scudettos and were super close to also winning in Europe. You became capable of buying Ronaldo and De Ligt level stars.
Then covid happens. Instead of counting your blessings, tightening things up knowing that all clubs have taken a massive hit but you have every advantage in the world to weather the storm better than most, no instead you cook the books to hide some of the losses to gain a marginal advantage in valuation and cashflow.

If the accusations are true (and the resignation implies that it is) then this was entirely avoidable. Bloody Inter sucked it up and let go of Conte, Lukaku, Hakimi and Eriksen in one window. Covid didn't just hit Juve's finances. He should have taken the hit, downsized like others have, and we'd have been better placed than most to make a come back.

Now a lot of strange decisions make more sense. Like selling Ronaldo with no replacement planned and cashing in on De Ligt and others. Not sacking Allegri and the whole "joke" about who will pay the next manager's salary. Fucker should have just said the financial situation is dire and we need to downsize to save the club. His ego got in the way. Wanted to be a European power house so much he couldnt accept the regression that was necessary.

Thinking about it, shouldn't we already be running court cases against all the media that report that we were paying some salaries under the table? This is causes massive damage to a company like Juve, if we are innocent...

The club recorded more than half a billion losses over the last few years. Thats a strong argument for him to step down.

All media are saying "alleged" because the investigation is not concluded yet. Nothing unusual, reporting on alleged criminal activities actually being investigated formally is not libel in any way.

The shady reputation of the club won’t go in our lifetimes. We’ll forever be linked with being favoured by Refs, Doping scandals, calciopoli, match fixing and now financial fraud. Comes with the territory of following Jj.
Our club is owned by arguably Italy's biggest industrial family in the Agnelli and Elkann and whatever family ties there are. They own Italy. Of course we'll always be tied to scandals. That in itself is not a problem.

Truth is the entire football world has become some sort of money making / laundering scheme and pretty much all clubs are guilty of it. The first requirement to hold any management role in football is be a power hungry cunt.

They all sicken me equally.

From Juventus to Inter to Barca to Real to United to Liverpool to UEFA to FIFA.

No, because that puts the burden of proof on us.

I hope you're right. But the timing, and the statement by the club and the fact that this is an entire board resigning with 11 or so directors under criminal investigation all point towards it being more than a normal resignation for an under-performing CEO.

That they are openly writing about public company making fiscal crimes? Isn't that punishable unless u have solid proofs?
Juve would have to prove that those journos made shit up with malicious intent while all the journos would have to do is just blame ignorance and say it was an honest error.
