Imagine being clueless enough to be supporting the actions of our management post-Beppe. In the 2 years post-Beppe, these guys have lost control of the club, recruited a bunch of overpaid wimps, and taken us from guaranteed domestic double and serious CL contender to struggling for top 4 and getting embarrassed by mediocre teams from tinpot leagues.
Agnelli should blow up this management group and hire competent people, or he shall be on his way out too soon enough. Which would be pretty shitty after the last 9 years imo

rough translation: hot situation within the club, the relationship between pirlo and the squad is cold, same goes for the squad and the club. there's a general insecurity, people waited for the confirmation of the club leadership, but it didn't happen so far.
same source: this sudden authoritarian change (punishment for the dinner party or whatever mckennie organised) was a surprise, since during the last 3 years, similar behaviour didn't have too many consequences, maybe because cr was the protagonist.
there are other tweets from the same source (one says arthur's punishment went smoothly, but tici and nedved shouted at mckennie and dybala when the other players weren't there), but these two sum up the situation pretty well. la repubblica is owned by gedi, which is an exor company. it is a clear message to the players.

There's probably a lot of truth in this. I've had the same idea as well. CR7 can do as he pleases, without any consequences. Whether or not that is a good thing is up for debate, but he is a global megastar after all (and, let's face it, bigger than the club/team itself), so you get what you pay for. In more ways than one.
The idea that some players would have issues with such "unfair" treatment is only logical. And those issues are obviously going to arise when you're in a bad spell. It probably wouldn't be a big issue if things were going fine.

But football is a team sport. And if your team spirit is lacking, for whatever reason, you're screwed.
Now, if CR7 had singlehandedly won us the CL or we would be in 1st position in the league only/mostly thanks to him, I'm pretty sure the different treatment wouldn't be an issue.
But like I said, things obviously aren't going well & all of a sudden it becomes a problem. I think the 2 games against Porto left a pretty big mark on an already weak team.
