Reason why I think we'll switch the focus is because tie against Real demonstrated that even when major decisions go against us and we have a stinker game at home, we are good enough to go toe to toe with the best. Which means we are just as good and can play just as confident footy. I think fans and, more importantly, board will have much more confidence in Juve next year, which, yeah, puts players under pressure to deliver, but also gives them a big confidence boost

I get the ref argument. That doesn't change the fact that they are under enormous pressure there to win everything. Literally, everything...refs or not.

If their revolving door of coaches doesn't suggest that then I'm not sure how else to convey it.

They are required to win everything they can get their hands on and their players seem to adjust to that pressure fine.

So what's wrong with setting the expectation higher? What's the difference (in pressure) with setting the expectation of winning the league vs wining the CL? Both are achievable. Prioritize one over the other. We have enough gold stars and coppas...we should be aiming for the CL.

I like that this has been the spark of finally realizing we should aim higher because we’ve always been one of the big traditional clubs in the world.

Not only the thing about the ref but Roma being strong is great for us. It’s the classic Russia going to the moon scenario, once America had competition they got things done. We need Italian teams fighting in the CL as well.

Not sure i understand some comments here...the CL has been a target for us since wr last won it. We have made 5 finals since we won it, in which 3 out of those 5 we were clearly the better team that season in the CL.

Pressure is there at the start of every season. All comps are a goal.

The only thing that needs to change is the buying/selling mentality. We cant improve and weaken areas of the team each summer. That has been the problem the past few seasons. If we had a vidal and pogba in that final last season real would not have raped us in midfield. Yes financials are important but we continuously fuck this team around in the summer and we literally dont give ourselves the opportunity from day one to win it.
