I have been saying that since Allegri was fired. Agnelli did not have the time for that and all his time was dedicated on the forming of the super league.
Now it all makes sense. And tbh, if this all goes through, it looks like he has sealed our future for a very long time and has made us one of the heavy-hitters in Europe on a financial basis again.

Bring in Allegri and give him a new midfield and a few other good additions and we good to go again.

Maybe you like us playing in backwards stadiums with a hostile FIGC trying to screw us every step of the way, but I don't. I don't care about playing Benevento, Chievo, Cagliari and the rest.
If you want to be the best you have to play the best consistently, and win against them.
Also where is the fairness in these games. Is it fair for Juve to play a total of maximum 55 to 60 matches every year against a team like Cagliari who plays only 38 or 39?
Jesus fucking christ what man-children with short attention spans are on these forums nowadays. "Waahhhh I don't WANT to watch games against Cagliari, I only WANT to watch Messi and Ronaldo play against each other every day waahhhh". Stripping away all the history, traditions and locality of football completely so that zoomers from China and India can enjoy some more champagne match-ups is such a shitty trade off that I can't even put into words. I enjoy the city rivalry between Juve and Torino. I enjoy the historic rivalry between Fiorentina and Juventus. I actually enjoy Serie A and watching Parma and Cagliari. I don't think I would enjoy watching "THE TORINO ZEBRAS PLAYING THE TOTTENHAM WHITE STRIPES AT THE BUDWEISER ARENA IN NEW YORK, BROUGHT TO YOU BY MCDONALDS"

That's how I see it. It was quite obvious he has ignored the club but apparently his plan of a utopia is seeing fruit. Why would he invest so much in a project just to let Tici destroy it. He simply didn't care and was looking for the next step. At first I did not believe he will succeed but I see it now. And the way he is doing despite all the fighting makes it even more interesting and thrilling.

Yeah that would be more entertaining than watch Benevento sit with 10 men in 25 matters praying to God for a draw, brought to you by Gravinia's mudistan corporation
Football is in the entertainment business after all.

Do clubs actually want to stop playing current domestic leagues tho? Its these leagues themselves that are trying to flex with threatening to ban clubs from competing eventho I cant see them (especially Serie A) get any international attention at all if top clubs are not there.

The domestic league doesn't give a flying fuck about us - they relegated us, and constantly bend the rules to fuck us over.

Italy is a bureaucratic fascist country with tons of red tape and resistance to change, and this is exemplified by the rapidly regressing domestic league.

Old stadia, bickering obsolete owners, terrible infrastructure and tv coverage. On top of that, they don't even like us, so why should we care about them?

Yes, we need to keep playing in Serie A, and I'm sure that's what Agnelli and Co want, but we also need another product that will grant us greater exposure and make us relevant on a global scale. Serie A isn't it. Apparently, the CL isn't it either.

If we have to choose between Serie A aka The Domestic League and a Super League where we make more money and play games against quality opponents, then fuck Serie A.

The Superleague is not a replacement of Serie A its a guaranteed replacement of the European club competitions with greater reward. But yes, fuck Serie A if they want to kick out their 3 biggest and most successful clubs then fine, good luck trying to market the likes of illicic and Dzeko as the new faces of Serie A then moan about how the tv companies are giving even less money, let those peasant clubs fight over the scraps.

Not sure how to take it to be honest. As a club we have lost our identity, we play shit football and are financially fucked now. We need a change.. maybe this is a good thing.

This goes against the very core of football. This is not the NFL or the NBA. Football is a global sport in which teams are promoted and demoted. In which Porto or Dortmund can win the Champions League. Big teams protecting their interests by cutting everyone else out and shoving this new format down our throats?

Count me out.

All the other leagues domestically have become stale. I see why a change is needed. Not saying I’m a fan of this. People banging on about it’s all about the money and will ruin football. Sorry but that already started years ago. Gary Neville moaning yesterday yet working for Sky who have been screwing us for years.
The money aspect is fine. What's wrong is that they are excluding everyone else and cementing their status.

Essentially they have taken away the free market.

Not exactly. UEFA and FIFA have done moreso with their corruption (and now with their threats to ban teams and players) than the Superleague does. It's well within their rights to play in another competition if they want to...

Hopefully, inter won’t be allowed to win the scdetto either

Trivia regarding bold moves:
Juve have a history of rebellion. When the city of Turin tried to play hardball with us in the 1990’s as regards gate receipts (or something of the sort), we abandoned the Della Alpi and played the UEFA semi’s and final at the San Siro to packed crowds.

This ESL is a gamble on a whole different level. I hope we don’t get thrashed by Spurs.
First ever club owned stadium in the country ;)

Not sure this is the right place for this statement but.. FUCK serie A. Fuck Benevento. Fuck Chievo.. If they are the reason a club like Juventus is excluded from the big games then i'm all against the qualification system.

Juventus play in Serie A for the honors of being CHAMPIONS OF ITALY.
Not to quality for other tournaments..
