Yeah I think some need to decide whether they rate Serie A or not. You can't shit on both the Serie A and the Super league. It makes no sense to cry on how bad and meaningless the Serie A is and then shit on Agnelli for trying to give the fans what they clearly want.

Super league makes perfect sense. You reduce Serie A to 14-16 teams and use the extra free weekends on the improved CL. More int. games = more tv money = better sponsorship deals = better for Juve. I can definitely see why fans would hate this

I like Serie A so Id hate to see this coming through, if their plan is to abandon entirely national competitions. I hope they find some different solution with more CL games and money but still remaining in Serie A.

I used to be pro-ESL myself, but the older I get the more I realize it will get super boring super fast, a Juve-Real or a MU-Bayern is special because it's not a guaranteed match every season.
CL is an amazing tournament (as cruel as it has been to us)... don't fix what's not broken.

Ps Bar our utter dominance (not complaining), Serie A is incredibly entertaining.

Imagine not winning the CL before the switch to the superleague

Freaking Real Madrid went 32 years without it before finally meeting us in the Final :D

I understand too much depends on luck in currenr format, but it has reduced considerably thanx to VAR. Notice how no one had any doubts that Pool fully deserved it this year.

But I would imagine even ESL would have a Final, so... lets stick with the devil we know lol

This season we played Valencia for the first time ever.. and they're an old traditional European club that has had shitloads of seasons in European competitions, just like us. Crazy.

The best experience is when there is competition. Top teams went so far ahead, they only see competition within each other. That has to change or football will die.

Imagine why the 90s were called the golden era, because we had duels like Nesta-R9. Great players vs another one. If the 11 best were playing for Juve, and the next top 5 were on the bench I wouldn't think it would be of any interest even to hardcore Juventus fans. Now we are almost there. RM is exactly there.

I understand that as a Juve chief AA must be looking for the interests of the club first, but if the club is a fish, competitions are water. Unless something is changed in the system a super-league will end the same way a few decades later as Seria A, La Liga, Bundesliga or Ligue 1. And Juventus might be the 'Juventus' of this new league...

Yeah, the games against Man U, Valencia and Young Boys were suuuuuuper fun...not.
I prefer Seria A vs boring games in Europe as a league format. The fun in CL starts in the elimination phase.
In Europe there are no historical, traditional rivalries with such intensity as in the national leagues.
I am absolutely certain that the people will soon will be bored with this new format if it is ever created.
CL works fine.
Seria A should be improved and not further weakened. Games against strong domestic clubs are much more fun.

If this is the issue, then I think we unfortunately need to look to American sports a bit more. Maybe a salary cap or something?

Salary cap on any basis hurts the players mostly and its been badly implemented in EPL and FFP rules in a way. But there are always sponsors...

Tbh its an extremely complex question and a lot of people sucked money out of clubs or spent unwisely. Both can kill you/set you back for ages. You have to somehow cut politics out for any hope of long-term stability. I won't figure it out, certainly tonight, but I have the feeling no one that is supposed to is either.
