Just forwarding the rumored ones. :p

Who'd you prefer? McDermott, Shaw or someone else? I don't really watch college football, but I've heard good things about Shaw.
David Shaw is a great young coach. He's done a fantastic job at Stanford, first as OC under Harbaugh, and then building upon Harbaugh's success and making Stanford a perennial CFB powerhouse, which is especially impressive given Stanford's academic requirements which make highly ranked recruiting classes difficult. He also coaches a pro-style offense instead of the retarded spread shit that is so prolific in College (and a major reason for the dismal failure of Chip Kelly).

He'd be a great hire for an NFL team imo. Young, motivated, has well-disciplined teams, and is a very good developer of talent.

No thanks to all of them
You're gonna be disappointed then, I think.

@Völler I was disappointed back in 2004 when they hired Coach Cough. I remember the great Dennis Green was a candidate and I really wanted him to be hired.

But now it seems like Lovie will be hired and I'm really not happy about that.

Where you heard about concrete Lovie rumors?

Without really knowing a lot about most of these coaches, I'm kind of hoping for McDermott. A defense-oriented coach would be good, and McDermott has done well with the Panthers.

And he's not going anywhere, if the stories are true.

I don't know enough about him but if I had to name one candidate that really isn't on the market it would have to be John Fox. I would love to see him return to the Giants and take over. He made his bones with the Giants just like Sean Payton in the early 2000s and Cough back in the 80s and now needs to return.

As I wrote a few pages back, I like John Fox too. :D Even if he's a bit conservative when it comes to play-calling. But he is pretty old and Bears just hired him a year ago. Maybe Gase, his offensive coordinator, would be a good option. It seems that he's doing a good job with Cutler. Right, @X?

OK. ALC seems like reasonable guy then. :D

Personally I'm not a huge Giants fan. :shifty: But I dislike Packers probably even more! But I have a soft spot for 49'ers for some reason.

fo sho

ask andy about Mooch :D
I don't need to ask him about Mooch.

All I know is that he was fired after making the playoffs 4 out of his 6 years with us, due to a power struggle with Terry Donahue.

Terry.

Donahue.

Ownership sided with Terry Donahue.

And let's not forget who the GM was of the Lions at the time.

I don't think I need to remind anyone
