well, Andy Reid has to go, this much I think is clear as he's just lost any grip he may have had on this team/franchise. That doesn't absolve Vick, though, who is a pretty average QB once defenses get used to his tricks as he lacks discipline and is way too chaotic for that position - his mumbo jumbo may give you an exciting win here and there but in the long run he is a liability and doesn't have the work ethic, consistency, discipline, mentality and even the talent of a proper QB, around whom you should build the team for the future.
He is kind of like a slightly better version of Tebow - the eye-candy is there for some games but you'd be better off cutting him loose.
I for one really hate seeing matt Flynn wasting away first at GB and now at Seattle. Instead of spending all that money on someone like Vick, there was a guy you could have given a chance on the cheap, imo ... then again, there is always the draft, I guess.
anyways, of course it ain't over yet, statistically, but the Eagles look completely deflated and disorganized for this team to have a realistic shot at making the p-offs, tbh - just no real direction and on the brink of falling into complete chaos. The only way I can see them pick themselves up would be an abrupt change of the head coach, which is obviously a risky call but only a shake down like that could turn the team's season around, I think. And it's not like Andy Reid is a long-term solution anyway.
There is of course the issue of available coaching options at this point in the season but one could always try and sweeten the pie for names like Cowher, Dungy, Gruden to make a return to coaching. I assure you of one thing though - if you guys manage to get any proper coach to replace Reid, especially Cowher or Dungy, getting rid of Vick and finding a proper QB would be at the top of their list of things to do.
Then again, there is always the option to go for an up and comer like the Harboughs or Tomlin - a coach's gotta start from somewhere, after all - but that would require some good planning. Either way, a newbie would likely get rid of Vick too, if he knows what he is doing
