huge difference between reveling and citing a player's injury as a positive, and the man has his reasons
I thought it was unfair of me Deneb, given the context, which is why I took that line out after I re-read my post. Still, you're basically talking semantics.
It was cited as the first part of the post, so my removed point is an exaggeration, not some massive disparity. Especially considering that (in my opinion) there were quite a few positives from last night's game. Did you get a chance to watch the game? It was a good one.
Btw, I know Heywood's a USC fan.
They guy is not getting it done. Plain and simple. He is not. He is what is holding the offense back. Nobody else.
All of the interceptions this year have been his fault. All of them. He is woefully inaccurate. All of those "tipped passes" that have led to interceptions are because he is grossly inaccurate. The 90 MPH fastball to Crabtree in the frist game when he was only 4 yards away, and the other two interceptions last night are because he cannot hit a player in stride.
He has never hit a player in stride. The only time he can complete a pass is when the target is wide open. Do you ever see him complete a pass to someone in tight coverage or even slight man to man coverage? I haven't. there is a reason why he only signed a 2 year contract, because he's gone after this year.
And as far as my other comment regarding the injury, you do realize that I was talking about Reggie Bush and that I'm a USC fan??
If all we're talking about (from the 9ers standpoint) is Alex, then yeah, he hasn't been good enough, and probably never will be. I agree. If we had a good QB, we'd very likely have a top five offense next year. His accuracy is not good, his decision making has very often been worse. The interceptions are his fault (although if memory serves, I think Crab might have blown his route on one of Week 1's picks. Someone blew the assignment.)
He did play one of his better games last night though (maybe even a top 5 game for him, despite the picks), which isn't saying much (and he was nowhere near as good as the MNF crew tried to make him out to be). Anyway, QB is a huge problem. That was already very apparent before we signed David Carr... Baalke dropped the ball on addressing that in the offseason, huge. No doubt.
Of course we could have gone a totally different route, traded for McNabb, and then looked at drafting a QB. That would have made this a fairly prolific offense - we've got lots of great pieces. Now we're forced to wait and prey, basically.
Last year, it could easily be said that our line was seriously holding the offense back. It was certainly very poor against Seattle as well, but they came to play last night. Totally rebuilt, and there will certainly still be some more bumps to come.
Like I alluded to above, responding to Deneb, I know that you're supremely frustrated with USC getting pooched like that, I figured I was being unfair, so I took the comment out.
Unless a player has gone out of his way to cheap shot another player - i.e. Matt Cooke, Ulf Samuelsson - there are very few times when I hope, or can take pleasure from someone getting injured. My team hasn't been caught out like yours was... so I shouldn't comment too much on that. Anyway, again, I realized you were blowing off steam, so I took it out.

Pittsburgh is apparently the best team in the League.
Starting quarterback, Byron Leftwich! Jesus. @ TB next week, you could definitely run it to 3-0. I'm still holding on to Wallace as a 5th receiver in my pool, hoping that your sexual predator will spark that offense when he returns.
