Nate Burleson gives the Lions a #2 receiver opposite CJ. As far as the money goes, he will never be there long enough to see the end of it.
Its a move that makes sense, it gives Stafford another weapon, and Burleson is still young enough to make a difference.
I liked the VDB move, and I thought that the trade for Williams, if he lives up to his potential, could be a steal. He wasn't comfortable playing Defensive End in a 3-4 scheme, so they will move him back to tackle where he should have been in the first place.
That being said, this might mean that they are not going to draft Suh or McCoy at the #2 slot. they still might do that, but they need help at Offensive Line, and if someone wants to trade up a few places with them to grab one of those DT's, then Detroit should still be in primce position to grab Russell Okung, who is the best OL coming out of the draft.
Of course, if they bothered to listen to me last year and drafted Michael Oher at the #20 spot, this conversation would not have to be taking place
