I’m glad that I’m nowhere near NYC right now. I don’t want to hear every garbage man, sewage expert, and turn style monitor yap about how the Joooos are going to Dallas. Now living in Dallas is bad enough with all the southerners and wannabe douches, but if the Joooooos beat the Steelers then I’m going out of town the weekend of February 5.

Fuck the NFL
Dru, if the Jets win, this is officially your problem now, not mine :D

Dru hates the Joooos, which is obligated to do as a true fan of the Goooos. But, as a Fan of the Knoooos, he hates the Celtics.
This is true. It similar to how the somalian cabbies hate the Senegalese cabbies. But just when you think that was it, the Nigerian and Chad cabbies enter the fray and now you got yourself a re-enactment of Hotel Rwanda with a twist of Tears of the Sun playing out on Northern Blvd all while you’re just trying to get to the Q-boro bridge to make it the office.

SB weekend is going to be a lose-lose situation for me. Not only will I be plagued of the inflated prices on everything, the douchebaggery, the prospect fans from either 2 midwestern teams or Jets fans but its also my wife’s bday that weekend. We were talking about it yesterday and we’re seriously thinking of flying out to cali and spending the weekend in either SD or Napa.

I really hope Jerry Jones does the right thing and hands out gift bags at the airports with SB teams colored anal beads coated in a volatile acetate which when inserted causes pain beyond measure which increases exponentially until the pro bowl next year.

The madness is already ramping up here and the dumb fucks here are just gonna get more dumb. This can’t be good for my blood pressure.

McDonald's employee fired for letting Peterson use the restroom
By Chris Chase

An assistant manager at McDonald's was fired after allowing Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson to use the bathroom while the restaurant was closed.

While working the late-night drive-thru shift at 3 a.m., a female employee encountered a man standing outside the window who asked to come inside and use the restroom. After a little while, she realized it was the popular Minnesota Vikings star and opened the door for him to come inside and use the facilities. (The seating area at the restaurant is normally closed during the late-night hours.)

One week later, the mother of three was fired for the offense.

"He's a public figure... I know him better than some of the maintenance people that come in and out," she told The Consumerist. "I never thought in a million years that that decision was going to cost me my career."

Jeez, McDonald's. It's not like she was letting in Brett Favre(notes) or Bryant McKinnie(notes). He's Adrian Peterson, the most famous Vikings player of all! If you can't do a solid for AD, who can you?

There's a silver lining at the end of these golden arches, though: After the local media reported on the woman's termination, McDonald's gave her back her old job.

:howler:

Sounds like McDonald's and Peterson did you a favor.

so what do you think ? this team (chi) has what it needs to play in the superbowl?
This year, absolutely. But that's because there's nobody who is unstoppable. This is one of those coin-toss SuperBowl years.

Interesting that, with maybe the exception of the Jets-Pats, the playoff field has entirely favored more northerly, cold climate teams. And of course -- ones not in domes.

That much is always good for football.

Those Giants grapes are sure sour.

But just think of the possibilities... another two decades of Mark Sanchez doing pantyhose commercials and drunkenly assaulting female anchors on MNF. The possibilities are endless.
