Fucking 3.5m for wages this year down the drain. The guy is a joke. He is no where to be found when we are in attack...he runs away from the play. Hell, event he camera man struggles to keep him in the damn view with how far away he plays from the actual "game".

I have never seen a striker that gets paid so much be so horrible at what they are getting paid to do until I saw Amauri today.

Did he have 1 shot on goal? Just one? Or were Diego's shots the only two shots we had against Inter?

He has no link play with the midfielders, no over lap, no runs into space. Inter defenders can play a game of euchre before they have to worry about Amauri do anything remotely dangerous to the goal they are defending.

The problem with Amauri is that he is so static. He has no movement in his plays. He waits for the ball surrounded by 4 defenders. Also whenever the balls comes at him he headers it away. Why can't he control the ball for once, bring down to his feet instead of giving it away.

Something must be wrong in training and they're telling him to do something we don't know about because a striker with his value coming from Palermo has to know how to play the game better.

Static is an understatement. Amauri is a black hole. Any decent play we have in us gets sucked into it....including his own.

Ok, I don't know how reliable are those stats, it's apparently from some Castrol Football site which I've never heard of. But... just guess what distance this Brazilian rocket-man ran in yesterdays match? You mean kilometres? Noo...

It's a killing distance of 900 metres! I hope you're tired today you lazy, useless, moaning old fart!

I bet I walked longer distance during this game. I was too disgusted to sit down and I had no service as well so I had been in the kitchen at least three times, while having quite spacious place.

Apparently, it's impossible to be objective when it comes to Amauri. He is either the worst player ever, a lazy, overpaid, good for nothing waste of space or he is a great player, only lacking service & decent team mates.

Middle ground, people!

He actually held the ball up quite well for quite a bit of the game, but support was so slow in arriving he was always going to struggle.
He only managed to hold up the ball a few times though, but is was indeed painfully obvious that the gap between him and the midfield made it impossible to keep the ball in the team.

I've never seen so lazy, useless player
You can call him a lot of things, but lazy? I just don't know how to reply to that.

Now that is right.

I allways thought he had the right characteristics to function as a single striker, but I'm afraid I was wrong in that. The guy doesn't seem to know when to drift back or sideways & when to stay up top. There was more than 1 occasion when we had the ball on the wings, attempting to cross the ball, yet there was no one in the box. And that's not the first time this season
Right now Amauri's biggest flaw is his positioning. As it has been pretty much the entire season.

Fyi: static in his positioning or movement or whatever does not mean the player is lazy.

Fyi: that 900 metres thing is wrong. It doesn't take a scientist to figure that out.

FYI: a forward who's literally walking whole game while a playmaker has no one to pass to is either injured or lazy. Amauri doesn't seem to be injured.
