You're not even taking into account the other 3 that are constantly running and moving about the midfield. (Candreva, Diego, DC)

Those three players are often running, but rarely close to Amauri or in useful areas when the ball is played long to Amauri, which is exactly what a target man needs.
Without players close to him, there is very little a target man with limited mobility can do.
And Amauri is not Iaquinta. He isn't going to make lung bursting 50 yard sprints into the channels. And anyway, when he does move, it doesn't help because other players aren't high enough up the pitch to take advantage of it.
I'm not suggesting Amauri has been good, but to single him out for criticism for the Inter game is unjustified.

I haven't singled him out for the Inter game as the only poor player. I have though singled him out for being our worst performer this season and based off of his tally IMO is justified.

His movement is poor, he stands in the middle with with his back to the closest defender and waits for the ball. Literally waits...when he gets a poor pass he can flail his hands in the air but no one says anything when he loses it over and over again.
Whenever he gets the ball he tends to start running right at goal when that is not always the best option. Hold it up for a change and wait for someone to overlap. Very few people seem to like target man style forwards.
Aberdeen have a cracking target man and he gets dogs abuse for being lazy and not moving enough, because it's not his style to move much.
However, it becomes very apparent when he isn't in the side to provide a focal point and occupy a defender or two just how important his contribution is, even if it doesn't always look like he is doing much.

What are you saying then? That Amauri should occupy a defender? Then wait for the AMs to produce? When was the last time Amauri had a very decent (no header) shot on goal? We can get technical all you want, but bottom line for a striker to not really produce anything tangible (not just goals) is rather frightening when he earns over 3m a season.
I'm just not willing to criticise individual aspects of the team when the entire team is playing horribly.
If the rest of the team improves and Amauri continues to underperform, then he deserves criticism.

I watched amauri intently during the inter game and he was typically rubbish. When we had the ball down the wing he made no attempt to get into a threatening position or make the defenders think. There was one instance where we had a dangerous cross into their area, amauri was in the box, the ball was played to the back post quite blatantly, and amauri ran to the front post, where 2 inter players were standing... he didnt even jump for the ball.
Amuri's off the ball movement is non existant. When we lump the ball forward he cant even win the ball in the middle of the park, he attempts to and then completely misses the ball. The few occasions where he does win the ball, he fouls someone. Then he constantly stands in offside positions. Add to all this the FACT that he is a rubbish finisher.
