yeah, let's buy a 28 year old guy that's not much better than Iaquinta and start him in front of a Del Piero who's playing like he's 25.
Huntelaar won't start if he goes to any other big club in Europe right away so our board should do everything to get him or they're a bunch of dumbasses. Trez won't last forever and The Hunter is the ideal replacement. End of story.

I think trez needs a replacement because he is out of form a lot more often that DP plus I still think palla is good in that role

Trez is not an an energetic player. He is does not have pace . He only knows how to finish. You don't lose that ability with age, and since he lacks pace and energy, we don't have to w orry about that either. A 34 year old Trez won't be that much different than this current one. So Huntelaar would have to wait say 3 years before he becomes a regular. So he would be around 28, 29. Yeah, Let's see how willing he is to wait that long and risk his World cup and Euro chances.
About your second point. What are you trying to prove? We don't know how much the offer is for sure, and we don't know if any players at all will be part of the trade so anything you say about the deal is hypothetical. And age is nor a problem here. 28 years old? So he has at least 4 years of top football in him. 4 years could mean 2 titles and a CL. Why not then? Especially considering that he has attributes of all our strikers in him.
and all this hype about Huntelaar is annoying. The easiest market to find players in is strikers. There has never been a shortage of good strikers in recent history. And alot of them go for cheap before they become big. Losing out on Huntelaar is not big deal since there will always be other good ones that will pop up. On the other hand, the number of good CBs and fullbacks is very rare. Hence why I would rather not splash heavy money on a sub striker when there are rare gems like Zapata waiting around

The whole deal makes no sense at all, Amauri should be signed in the first place.
There are places were we need cover and first team choices and yet we are not interested to reinforce.
Just look at the past transfer choices we made and tell me what makes sense out of it???

I'm gonna assume that you mean he should NOT be signed in the first place. I do agree that we need to fill other positions/roles on our squad and our offseason attention should be focused on that issue but we also do need a striker which falls into the same issue. Amauri is most coveted free agent on the market and I do believe if we acquire him it will improve this club exponentially.
But I do feel that we should not sell overpay for one player and miss out on other opportunities at the same time. Yes our board acts irrational at times and most of the decisions they have made in the past 1.5 years are more than questionable. But we are stuck with this board and we need to have faith in their judgement because I do believe they are doing what they can to build us back to championship form.
They do get paid the big bucks to do this you know

Del Piero is not bigger than Juventus. Juve always comes first. It's very simple, if Amauri or any of our forwards is playing better than Trez or Ale then that forward should should start. No 2 ways about it. No one is his right mind can deny Ale's infleunce on Juve. But at the end of the day, if someone is playing better, then I expect that payer to start.
