Let's see:
2014/15 Serie A: 8 goals
2015/16 Serie A: 7 goals

Yes, I expect Juve's striker to get past 10 goals in Serie A. If they don't, it's fair game to criticize them. Seems like a pretty low bar to set.

There is a reason he left Madrid, a reason he left Chelsea, and a reason he left Atletico. And no, that reason is not that he is amazing.
He was great at Madrid off the bench. Chelsea was a disappointment I agree

It's an option to buy for 45 mil. with a possibility of extending his loan.
Dzeko would cost us 8+15= 23 mil. a year that's 46 million over 2 years.
Morata would cost us 10 mill (gross salary for 1 year) , or 7 million gross a year if he stays 2 + 9/year loan fee probably
If morata stays 1 year we pay 19/year or if he extends we pai 32 million over 2 years, because if he stays 2 or more he benefits from tax reduction on his salary.
Morata earns 10M a year? Is it Net? If it is - Some serious overpaid case is here..

He was never an outright goal scorer. He scored a goal or assist every 100 minutes while at Juve. That’s fantastic. I could give two shits if he wasn’t scoring double figures in Serie A alone while playing under 1500 minutes in the league both seasons he was here. He wasn’t a starter until later in the season in 14-15, and was part of a rotation with Dybala and Mandzukic in 15-16

In 14-15 in the league he had 8 goals -5 assist in 1321 minutes

In 15-16 he had 7 goals-7 assists in 1456 minutes.

Both are actually very good totals/minute.

Dry loan with an option to extend the loan? This is a much better deal than Dzeko at €17million transfer+€7million wages. Not to mention Morata is 6 years younger, is more mobile and has pace to burn, qualities that would serve us well in Europe. This guy knows the club, its culture, its senior players, the city, the language etc........ this makes much more sense for both player and club.

Like Hydde said, this guy isn’t coming to be our primary goal scorer with Ronaldo and Dybala primarily carrying the scoring load. The reason he flopped at Chelsea was because he was expected to lead the line and be the main striking option, he wilted under those expectations and mammoth transfer fee. This won’t weigh heavily on his mind here.

I need to look into the ledger impact but at an initial glance this might be more financially prudent and lower risk than Dzeko or Suarez (if he was ever really a target)

Although he has been Spain U-21 goal scorer and he even won the top scorer award in some U-21 tournament but yeah he hasnt really been that kind of player since
