Mbappe 135m
Belotti 100m
Lukaku 90m
Morata 90m

Striker prices gone completely bonkers. Higuain seems fair value at the moment.
1. you can attempt to make that statement after either of the strikers actually goes for that price
2. I said attempt because the comparison is flawed. Clubs pay up for value retention when it comes to young players. Try to imaginary move Belotti to the age of 29, assume he had 20-30 goal seasons inbetween. 50mil player.
Higuain deal was one smelly piece of shit

Fair points but Higuain is much better than guys like Lukaku, Belotti or Morata. As I've said earlier I think a fair price for Higuain last summer would have been 70m. Belotti and Morata will in the end probably go for a fee around that range if they move clubs.

Still the inflation for players year after year seems crazy.

just put economics aside for a moment. who would you sub in during a cl final, when your strikers won't perform: lemina or morata?
Silly question. And he wants to be backup you think? And should he buy 90m for backup striker :D (what Man U offerring)

He COULDNT win starting spot from Mandzukic over a full season, or he had it and lost it due to inconsistency in league. Higauin not only scores nonstop in league, but the guy barely gets injured, so why have uber expensive luxury sub, are we like Real suddenly? And they only needed 30m to get him back. We couldnt done it for 60m probably even before buying Higauin.

Problem with higuain is we create fuck all for him. We need to transition to a more of an attacking team and take a bit more risks atleast in the CL anyway

we aren't, and that's one of the reasons we lost the cl final. we do need depth options, and potential game changers on the bench. also, morata might play like 25 matches as a starter with us, and i'd even start him over higuain against high pressing teams like real, barcelona or bayern. guy has deadly pace, and he's got a cool head on big occasions.

i'm positive schick will be fine, though.

our starting XI lost the final, not our depth. After 1-3 we could have subbed in 1999 fat ronaldo and lost

In form 1999 Ronaldo would have won us back the game within 90 minutes. Lets not exhaggerate here

But Sanchez is nearly 35. So we shouldn't buy him. No resell value. @Zacheryah
Agree. Its no economically right solution to our issue

so lemina is fine as a depth option?

we didn't have attacking options for the 2nd half of the season. ffs, even sturaro played as a lw on occasions. i get that morata is expensive to be a luxury sub, but i let marotta care about the economics, and as a fan, i think morata could have been useful for us, either as a starter over higuain (0 goals against barcelona and real) or as an impact sub.

probably the main reason for our disagreement over morata is that some of you guys consider higuain as a rock solid starter. for league games, i'm ok with that. against certain teams with a high defensive line, when pace does matter and we would have probably some chances on counters, i'd take morata over him.
