That's how negotiations works. They name their price, we name ours. If it's true we offered 60m, we already fucked up.

Even if we met at the middle, 75m for a player that hasn't been first choice for an entire season is insane.

You're right, Dzeko wasn't exactly pulling trees up at City. To be fair though, his primary role was to play the foil to Aguero and was the 'out ball' whenever their defenders had to hoof it downfield. He has a good pedigree as shown by his stints at both Wolfsburg and Roma, and is at a good age as the perfect stop gap signing.

As for Cavani, it's more a semi-realistic pipe dream. Seems like he's always linked with a move away, and the guy doesn't exactly avoid the rumors going so far as to state that he'd like to play in La Liga or PL some day. I actually think Cavani's going once they sign Auba. The only question is whether he'll stick around for another year to play out of position but still get his paycheque, or if he'll demand a move this summer.
Fair enough, Džeko can score goals and City didn't use him to the best of his abilities, but still, I don't think he's a stone cold scorer in EPL, you might be better off just giving the spot to Rashford.
I don't think PSG intend to sell Cavani when they get Auba, at least I would not in their place. If they plan to conquer Europe any time soon they need to keep their best players.

Morata is very talented but he has yet to truly perform at the highest level consistently.

His last year with us was so poor and he should have done much better for us.

I think a team would be crazy to pay €90 million for him but €60 million is more than a fair price for him

I will personally drive to spain and deliver him in Turin for 60mil.

Morata has speed, technique, scoring ability in clutch games, size, intelligence.
He can play all 4 offensive positions of our 4231.

I'll repeat

He can play all 4 offensive positions of our 4231.

He's the number one player to consider.

Morata scored in 5 consecutive games to the 2015 final, including the final.

He was good in 2015 no doubt but when Tevez left he had a poor season after.

He didn't play so well in any of his positions he was given in 2016 and looked quite fragile.

I don't know how good he really is because he has been a bit hit and miss and didn't get much game time at Madrid this season

Enough sentimental talk.

As much as I'd love to have him here, he is a luxury signing for this Juve team and won't be a starter in our current eleven. Thinking he'll come here to play LW or RW is utter stupidity. Two positions where he plays well is already occupied by superior strikers so it's pointless to even entertain this idea.

Talk with your head and not with your heart.

But we have Higuain for the league.

I'm seeing Morata to play wide. Like what he did on the left or right.

Imagine having to defend crosses with Higuain eating a burger in the box, 3 defenders on him, with ManBro and Alvaro running into good positions.

Good luck defending that. And with Bonucci, Pjanic, Alves and Sandro we got loads of options to trow sneeky high balls

We currently dont have an RW. We decided to rape the perfectly good formation to push Alves higher cause Cuadrado wasent reliable enough.

And you bring Morata to play RW ?

His best games for Juventus came when he played as a support striker and as a CF when partnered with Tevez.

He was a flop when used out wide on the left. Was sulking big time.

Pretty retarded to pay €60- €70M for a CF and then play him on the wings. It won't happen. Just let go off it.

Yeah Zach just drop it, you are dead wrong on this.
Name one player that can play all 4 positions and be a good pacy backup for higuain ?

Remember how we went completely mad at bayern with him as a deep striker.

i'm a huge fan of using Morata in wide positions or center as a pacy counter option

Sanchez. He actually can play all those positions really well unlike Morata.
