A top forward according to who?. To us maybe. but to the rest of the world, a top forward is a suarez, a cavani, an Ibra, a Lewandoski, a Vardy, a Aumebayang. Players that are hyped and that have the numbers to back them up.

Morata has none of that right now. We know his value... but according to what i said, he is not a primetime CF for real madrid yet.
suarez is barca player Why should barca sell him to their fierce domestic rival when they can get the same money from a foreign club(if they want to buy him)
ibra is 35 yrs real never buy him morata is definitely at their level and better than them(his age)

Oh, I agree with the rest. Just found it very amusing that he listed all these great forwards + Vardy. :lol:

Where is @Fred anyways...?
Around every now and then.

Vardy is a huge risk, if only for the fact that his form last season came out of the blue, there was no gradual progression. Just the season before he was an average speedster. Him being a one season wonder is a real risk.

Still i think he's definitely an upgrade over Giroud.

He's also completely different to Giroud. If anything he could end up fighting for a spot with Alexis, which will surely force him out of position.

Don't forget that Arsenal also need to add English (British...well, like I said, English) players when they are available and of use.

Ya true, thats why we end up inevitably having to keep technically inept players like Walcott and Chamberlain

He's an interesting player. Scored I think 5 goals in 35 matches last year for Leicester, his first season of top-flite football. And he's 29. It's always pretty risky to make any significant outlay on such a player. A lot of pressure on a player who is almost 30 and has no real experience of pressure.

But obviously he can deal with pressure. Otherwise he wouldn't have scored immediately for the National Team. Yes he is overrated, definitely. But on the other hand, almost every forward is overrated nowadays, just depends on whom you ask.

No man should be forced to play for Arsenal. There must be a Geneva clause covering it
Unfortunately the Geneva Conventions only apply to situations of war.

There is however the European Convention on Human Rights.

Art. 3 of this Convention clearly states: "No one shall be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment." - I think it's fairly obvious that having to play for Arsenal is degrading.

Furthermore art. 4 of the Convention states: "1. No one shall be held in slavery or servitude.
2. No one shall be required to perform forced or compulsory labour.
3. For the purpose of this Article the term “forced or compulsory
labour” shall not include:
(a) any work required to be done in the ordinary course of detention imposed according to the provisions of Article5 of this Convention or during conditional release from such detention;
(b) any service of a military character or, in case of conscientious objectors in countries where they are recognised, service exacted instead of compulsory military service;
(c) any service exacted in case of an emergency or calamity threatening the life or wellbeing of the community;
(d) any work or service which forms part of normal civic obligations"

Except for sadomasochists I do not believe anyone would voluntarily play for Arsenal. I can only assume they are forcing their players to do so.
