Inter won with Milito, Chelsea with Drogba, Bayern with Mandzu/Gomez, i dont see why we couldnt win with a classic CF
Drogba and Milito are miles ahead of Mandzukic in termes of technique.

Bayern had supreme players at the wings in Robben and Ribery, we don't have those, we don't even play with wingers.

Just my opinion, but i don't see us winning the CL if we play with him, in Serie A, he could more less effective because we are always dominating teams, but in europe where we need to defend, counter and use space, dribble, quick one twos to beat teams. He won't be effective as shown by this year compaign.

As shown when he scored vs City in both games and made a key assist vs Bayern :agree:

Or maybe you base your opinion too much on the 2nd leg vs Bayern where he played injured

Since we need to invest in midfiled I just can't see us buying a top quality striker, even with 30 million coming for Real.

Berardi might be considered Morata's replacement in the end.

What I don't understand in all of this is that Marrotta very clearly came out and said that Morata wants us. But then the player comes out and makes a completely contradictory statement. Did Morata change his mind over this period of time or did Marotta just try to use a negotiation technique with Real?

Just from reading this response, I get the impression some think Juve/Allegri should have given him more time to try and make him happy? Would be fairly weak for a player that went through huge dips in form, Mandzukic performed better too, and this club is above catering to players like that. I'm just thankful for the clutch goals.

Also, lesson learned that Juventus do not develop its own local talents well enough, given the obvious emotional attachment Alvaro has for Real Madrid. That is a constantly poor aspect of this club though.

People still think Mandzukic is some donkey?
As much as I love him, he is a step down from Morata, even though I think I could see before the season had begun that it would probably end up this way with Dybala-Mandzukic as the preferred partnership. Morata has too much going for him to have been the perfect foil for Dybala.

I don't base my opinion on two games, i've said this years before and i still think it's the way to go, you base your opinion on stats too much. Anyone who watches this team know we play better with someone like Morata in Europe, someone who can run into spaces, dribbles takes down defender one on one, hold on to the ball, things that Mandzukic can't do.
I have nothing against him, but imo if we want to be a serious contender for the CL next year we should be looking for a better option especially if we lose Morata.

Never said that, but he's not some superior technical player either.
Zizinho compared him to Milito, you think Mandzukic is capable of scoring a goal like the one Milito scored in the CL final ? no way. That's the kind of players we need in europe. Someone who can take on defenders and score.

I dont base my opinion on stats, i watched those games.

Also, i didnt compare any players here, just showed you that it's possible to win with a "classic" CF, which you seem to think it's not

I'm not convinced you mean in terms of technique but more to do with mobility, where Drogba and Milito certainly were superior. Milito was definitely more skillful but also a different kind of CF.

This basically goes back to the kind of static striker argument that has been debated so many times :D Yes he does need service, but he'll get it here.

What i mean by a classic CF, is someone who don't add to the general play, cant create on his own. Players like Milito, Drogba, Etoo...are players that can create on their one, take the ball and run into defenders, score from outside the box..Something that Mandzukic can't do and Morata clearly can. That's what i meant.
And if can't hold on to Morata, can't see any player we can get that can duplicate what he does for us...
