I am pretty sure there will be some imbeciles that will blame for accepting to play for any other club and will forget all the great moments

Full unbriddled melt down in this forum and all of calcio of this happend :agree:
Not sure I would dislike it. As a person he is clearly Agnelli's choice anyway and as a player, boy will I regret saying this, I want him over Cavani simply because of the money Cavani would cost despite his age.

He is a class poacher and would score 20+ goals for us without much fuss probably, but I'm over poachers in todays game. I'm half fed up with Mandzukic as is, who still links up with others and work his ass off as a teamplayer, but limitation is obvious, and it gets kinda annoying watching in several games, now imagine Icardi, who is more limited, just litterally useful in the box only poacher. We get decent amount of consistent goals, but it still kinda holds back the team a little in certain sitautions and gameplans that requires more options and skillset.

Cavani in comparison is quite bit more complete while still being deadly. He is decent with the ball, very strong and fast, plus useful on the counter. Something neither Icardi or Mandzukic thrive in. I would choose Cavani over him any day regardless of money. Also a young Icardi from Inter wont be cheaper, not to us especially :howler:

P.S If I didnt clarify it enough, I said the original post due to contrsoversial character/off the field story more then his ability as a goalscorer.

Last i read according to Gazzetta was €3.2M NET + bonuses which could rise to €4M NET.

€4M NET = £130K a week gross wages in PL terms.

He is a fantastic poacher, but douche meter goes off completely with him that it's PR wise hilarious to buy him.
I know most people will find it ridiculous after last season, but if we're going for a classic poacher, we should buy Benteke. He's had a poor season and Klopp does not like him, but as a pure cf the quality is definitely there. He's not good enough to be our main man, but if we have three other quality forwards, he'd be great for rotation.

Other than Morata leaving and getting a replacement, I'm not sure I'd change anything about the Dybala-Mandzukic partnership. They seem to connect pretty well.

How is the money thing such a big factor in this forum? You guys aren't paying for the players yourself. Cavani over Icardi any day, no matter how much more he costs

Maybe because an overly expensive player is going to block other, more neccessary, transfers?

Know the club's limitations. We are not Manchester City fans
