Morata is better on technical terms, but Cavani has more bite to him and was more clinical (Napoli days), I wouldn't say no to Cavani, as a matter of fact if he were for sale, I'd hop on that opportunity asap.

Cavani scored 200 goals in fairly young enough age still, Morata is very good teamplayer who involves others, capable technically and passes well enough and is real quick. His career is just starting and he has alot of upside, but until he shows he is even REMOTELY close to a fraction of how deadly Cavani is, his name shouldnt be uttered in context like this. Cavani would balls out carry our whole team if we built the attack around him, and NOT use him as a winger like PSG and Uruguay have been.

Cavani is still easily a level above Morata. Until now, Morata is nothing more than a promising youngster, while Cavani has been among the best CFs in Europe for three consecutive seasons. The fact that he's struggling a bit now is mostly due to him being played out of position. And he's still doing very good as well, just can't be the machine he used to be playing second fiddle to Ibrahimovic.

Theoretically and if everything goes well, Morata can surpass Cavani in a couple of seasons, but as of now it's not even a contest.

Yea no doubt but I just wanted to see how you all rated his ability with the ball outside of finishing
Oh, he's a rather multidimensional forawrd for sure. Dude can pass, dribble, score from short & long ranges (though his finishing this season hasn't exactly been top notch tbh), has good movement and even tracks back at times.

Yeah I get you, and Morata is very well rounded and pretty much better on that part of the game you mentionned (but just a little, Cavani is well rounded and pretty much the perfect attacking team player there is). I was just making that clear, the proven quality difference before I read another run of posts that says how he is already better then established top strikers despite him just starting out and havent proven anything, even if he is on his way to that level. Some just get ahead of themselves with the excitement hehe.
