We are not Leverkusen and we can keep him if he has a say in all of this, i know we shouldn't have agreed on that clause but I'm glad we brought him
of course we can, the only way Real can get Morata away from us is if they promise him a starting spot while offering a massive raise in wages. Other than that, he has no reason to leave and reading his comments the last few weeks he loves it here and hated it in real.

As: Man City want Morata
By Football Italia staff

Spanish newspaper As claims Manchester City could sell Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko to buy Alvaro Morata from Juventus.

Morata impressed when scoring his debut senior goal for Spain, securing a 1-0 qualifying victory over Ukraine on Friday.

According to As, Manchester City have been won over by the 22-year-old striker who grew up in the Real Madrid youth academy.

The paper maintains the Citizens would sell Jovetic and Dzeko to raise funds for Morata, who would cost well over €30m.

However, there’s a very complicated situation around Morata, as he joined Juventus on a two-year loan deal with a series of options and counter-options.

Essentially, Real Madrid have the opportunity to buy him back in the summer for around €30m.

Therefore if Manchester City did want to get their hands on Morata, they’d have to discuss it with both Real Madrid and Juventus.

So city wants him maybe for 45m. We said no.
Real can buy him from us for 30m and then sell for 45m to city. Anyone heard this??
Not true. There's a sell on fee. Over the 30 mil of the buyback, we split the rest of the fee with Madrid if he is sold during the period of the buyback, including the last summer Madrid can exercise it. I think it's something like 60-40 split.

What kid of deal did we make ffs

What I just mentioned makes the buyback somewhat more reasonable. Madrid isn't allowed to just buy him back for 30 mil if someone offers 50 mil for him, and then turn around and sell him after and make 20 mil profit.

If he is sold to some other team, for more than buyback in the next three summers, we get a share of that profit. So say he is sold for 50 mil. We'd get around 40 mil of it. B

But let's be honest, if he becomes a 50 mil rated striker, Madrid will be wanting him back, they wouldn't sell a home-grown striker worth that much. He'd be brought for a chance to lead the line there. In 2017, when the buyback option hits its last year, C. Ronaldo will be 33, Benzema will be 30. There forward line will be in need of younger options. If Morata comes good, he will be offered a place there.
